One of our kidnapped long lost books has returned after 5 long years of being held captive in a forgotten cupboard We are ever indebted to the patron who rescued this book from a life on the lamb It is time for us to start Story Hour again Beginning with the fust Wednesday in October (the 4 th) at 0:00 am all should be in the the 3 4 & 5 library listening to wonderful stories I have set aside a new book by Eric Carle The Very Lonely Firefly to read for our kickoff When you get to the end of this book there are all these little fireflies blinking their lights Do you remember the book The Very Lonely Cricket by the same author? When you get to the end you can hear a cricket sound? Oh we are going to have great fun this year We have received all the books that have been nominated for the Utah Children's Book awards etc and they are on the shelves Inside each of these books is a slip of paper so that you can vote on the book stating if you liked it or didn't like it Then wc will gather all the info and see if we liked the same books that get the final awards Wc have books from Young Adult to Childrens Picture Books I am on the edge of my seat waiting to get the new shipment of videos and If everything goes according to the schcduleon October the new arrivals will be ready to check out We have had such an overwhelming response to this program it has been well worth the red hot cash it took Keep those pages turning!
