Utah He was bom March 16 1909 at Holden Utah to Benjamin and Ellen Nixon Kenney He married Ramona Jackson on October 7 1929 the marriage was later solemnized on June 3 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple 1931 Wells attended Holden Elementary School Millard High School and Snow College He played football and was on the track team at the latter two schools Wells and Ramona lived in Greenwood and Holden most of their lives where Wells was a cattleman and farmer and a great lover of horses Wells was very active in church and civic affairs serving as Mayor of Holden for 0 years President of irrigation boards President of Pioneer Grazing Association active in Republican party He served in the Holden Ward Bishopric was a member of the Holden Ward Sunday School and MIA He w as preceded in death by h is w ife Ramona daughter lone his parents two brothers and two sisters He is survived by his sister Mrs Flora (Joe) McEwan Murray Salt Lake City 4 daughters Mr Ila (Fred) Jensen Springvillc UT Mrs son of Raymond and Laura Mace Wilson He married Arvilla Dodge on January 26 1972 in Fillmore Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple He was educated in the Fillmore schools and graduated from Millard High School where he was an outstanding athlete in track wrestling and football He attended BYU where he played football He was employed by Geneva Steel in Orem and also had a horseshoeing business He was an avid horseman and had a special love for horses He Fishing camping enjoyed hunting music and spending time with his family He was an active member of the LDS Church and at the time of his death was a High Priest in the Benjamin 2nd Ward He served in various capacities including Sunday School Presidency and Home teacher Survivors include his wife of Benjamin one son California with her husband and later two children Linda and Jerry They moved to Winncmucca Nevada in 1973 After she lost her beloved husband in October of 1985 Freida moved to Delta Utah to be with 15 1994 at Delta Utah He was bom April 26 1909 at Philadelphia Pennsylvania to Dr Warren and Sarepta Sevy Shepherd He married Verna Roberts November 28 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Quin received his early education in Beaver Utah Then he attended and graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City He served an LDS mission to He graduated from Germany the University of Utah with a degree in business administration Following college he came to Delta to manage his father’s creamery and made Delta his home He owned and operated Delta Valley Feed Store for many years He pioneered the turkey industry in Millard County He raised purebred Hereford cattle and Duroc hogs and his livestock was known for its quality throughout the surrounding states Quin was a member of the Millard School District Board of Education for two terms He served on the State Board of Directors of the Utah Turkey Federation and w as a member of the local state and national Cattleman’s Association and the Utah and National Hereford Breeders Association He was instrumental in water use development and conservation at the local and slate level He served as both director and president of the Melville Irrigation Company as well as president of DMAD and the Consolidated Sevier Bridge Reservoir Company He was named Utah Conservationist of the year in 1978 Quin was Chairman of the Slate Board of Water Resource Board and served for twelve years under Governors Rampton and Mathcson He was appointed to the State Community Impact Board by Governor Mathcson and served seven years in that capacity He was honored by receiving the “Area Giant” award in 1989 presented by the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce and was chosen as Marshal) of the Day for the Fourth of July celcbra tion that same year He will Temple Braze attended school in Fillmore He was a hard worker and helped his father on their farm in Kanosh He worked in California for North American Aviation During World War II he was wounded while serving in the South Pacific After the war he was a carpet layer at DTR Furniture in Provo For the past 30 years he was a carpel layer In later years he worked for Provo School District where he retired in 1989 He loved the out of doors camping fishing and hunting and being with his family He also liked to garden Broze was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Saints He was a High Priest and held many positions He always went the extra mile for everyone and was well loved Broze and Beth arc the parents of 3 sons and daughter: Roger Broze Hutchinson Carlin Nevada Gary R (Amy
