Show FyN- Millard County Chronicle Technology Plus taxpayers patrons and parents Christmas Party at Delta High Emily Draper DHS— The Student Council sponsored a Christmas party at Delta High School on December 23 1992 The to purpose of the party was celebrate the holiday season with students and to show appreciation to the All Senior citizens and community other guests residing in the West Millard area were invited to attend the festivities Delta High wished to especially thank this generation for their support and contributions to the school and community The program showcased the musical talents of Delta students Acapclla Choir performed “And the Glory of the Lord” followed by the Concert band's rendition of “Sleigh Ride” “Joy to the World” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” The congregation sung along with the last number The singing quartet of Rick Murdock David Nicklc Jay Larsen and Cameron Lcbbon performed “O Holy Night” “How Far is it to Bethlehem” “Carol Noel” “O Sanclissima” were sung by the Concert Choir The Concert Band played “Brighter Side of Christmas” followed by the Stage Band's performance of “The Christmas Song” Amy Skeem sang “I’ll be Home for Christmas" The congregation Filled the gymnasium with music as they sang “The First Noel” “Deck the Halls" and “Jingle Bells”“0 Lord Most Holy” and “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep” were performed by Bone Voce The Stage Band then played "Crocodile Rock" followed by the Acappella Choirs rendition of “O Little Town of wish you a Merry Christmas” “Silent Night" While the choir and congregation sang “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" Santa Claus himself entered with a jolly "ho ho ho!" Progress January Dessa was bom in Everett Washington She has one brother Besides the state of Washington she has lived in Colorado Kansas California and Utah She attended Dishman Elementary School and graduated from West Valley High School She has taken various classes at a number of college locations as well She is married to Ed in Fountaine originally from Salt Lake City Utah She met her husband in Spokane Washington shortly after she had joined the LDS Church The Fountaincs have nine children and 5 grandchildren Dessa enjoys keeping busy She has worked for the Millard School District for the past few ye ars Her work has been mostly in Special Education and with the program She has also worked as a night manager at the West Millard Community Recreation Pool In her summers she works as a relief “receptionist secretary in Salt Lake! In her spare time she enjoys gardening geoland genealogy ogy reading writing During her elementary years Dessa fondly remembers lire time her family lived in Kansas The school had 3 rooms with tight grades Ice cream bars came to town once a week on a jitney (railway) They were bought and eaten because there were no immediately freezers in the store to keep them from melting! When the Fountaine family first moved to H inekh y she told her children that our school must be a place that really loved children because the playground was so much fun!
