Santa program Linda Carter County Recorder Marlene Whicker County Clerk and Mary Day County Treasurer were pleased to give Suzanne this lovely prize and to thank her for her contribution to the Sub for Santa program East Millard Sub for Santa The East Millard Sub for Santa program was a complete success this year over 20 families were helped in some way to have a Merry Christmas It was the goal of the committee that no child miss out on having a gift or two for Christmas Day It look the effort of the whole community to make this program a success people came in with gifts and donations families offered to shop for us IPSC workers took families as a project and of course the elves at the courthouse who have been working on fund raising all year long We hesitate to thank individuals in fear of missing someone who helped in a special way but we did want to thank the Jeep Posse for the huge task of making the deliveries they came with willing hands and had all of the gifts delivered in no time A great big thanks also to the Cowboy Cafe for their fund raising dinner on Thanksgiving and for ihcirhclp in shop- Elementary School brought in loads of canned goods which were distributed among families we arc sure this effort made them all more grateful for their own gixxl fortune and helped them gain the spirit of giving The High Schixl had an interesting contest which resulted in food gifts and money for the program and also gave the students a chance to give rather than receive We hope you all w ill keep the Christmas spirit burning all year long we will be needing help again next year so keep us in mind if you find something that would do for the yard sale or if you want to make a donation at any time we would be glad to receive it To those of you and you know who your are who donated money and gifts please be assured that we and the people who received the help are truly grateful It is great to live in a community where people care for others and pilch in to help where ever help is needed Sincerely Sub for Santa Committee ping The school children at the Fillmore JT AV Photo by Kate Hellenbrand Santa's helpers Marilyn Willden and daughter self-estee- m By Tea Warstadt Utah State University We often hear the term but many are unaware of the is a term’s meaning refers to the value of an individual All people have an equal but unmeasurable value attached to their being We may use the term in describing what we sec ourselves to be in relation to our roles in life For example to say "I am a student" or “I am a teacher" indicates how ever is different in that it or from is an valualive judgement of our self by our self When we This process is feel we are succeeding in life’s endeavors we feel good and as a res ul t our scl rises If we feel we are failing we feel poorly about ourself and our falls So we can look at selft esteem as being on a to change from time to time It is helpful to recognize things w hich w ill help move along in a positive direction as well as to know how to prevent self esteem from plunging Psychologists have found the one behavior that is most strongly associis "self ated with our level of talk” Every day of our life we arc silently having a conversation w ith ourhas much more selves This influence on our emotional development than the things others say to us Roosevelt once
