I say not If that were the case to what lengths would one have to go to be heard? Issues will come and go most diminish with time but the blatant disregard of an organized voice of so many residents is an encroachment on our freedom and will not diminish with time nor will it be forgotten And rightly so Lisa Nielson Oak City The Millard County Shenff s department honored Bn an Henne and Paula Turner recently at a special ceremony by awarding Certificates of Appreciation to the two who acted quickly dunng the Joseph Kaili crisis on July 4th Kaili a visitor to the area was near death and showing no vital signs when he was pulled from the Gunnison Bend reservoir after spending thing Hasn’t an yore heard about recall elections? I’m sorry to say luma tail your article comes over to me as a let’s join the “boys" rally rather than the independent you claimed to be while campaigning Quoting Lana “The board is not elected whereas the commissioner are” “The manager would report rectly to the elected officials" Now this can be no big deal for it's obvious these elected officials have the dictatorial attitude once elected they answer to no one end will do as they please “Millard County Residents" next goes your Fire Districts and then the boys can chip away at the Mosquito Abatement and they’ll control every- cere- Sheriff’s Department Honors Henrie and Turner Dear Editor: Regarding “Dear Fellow Residents of Millard County” edt Upon reading this article I felt like Rip Van Winkle must have after his king sleep Quoting Lana “I would like to quote an excerpt from a letter received from former commissioner Milce was I asleep or something? Wasn’t this the same Mike Styler she defeated in the last election? I’m still confused Lana if you favor this mat’s opinion so highly why did you work so hard to replace him? If I'm not wrong this was the same Mike Styler who helped ram the dissolution of the West Millard Hospital District down the taxpayers throats Implied at the beginning of the ticle the people were basically against the West Millard Recreation District Is it possible to see your statistical evaluation of this poll? Also remembered when you were going door to door you claimed an ex employer of your stated you weren’t qualified to be a commissioner because you don’t hold the priest Pace The follow ng terns have neen selected if the Millard from the cnme County Sherff' s office ''nan August 27th through Sepiemher 3rd ’991 telling who you are when yon attended and any metnone you might have of our school Please let us know what you’re doing now I appreciate your help Sincerely Mary Mile West Elementary School 12 North 300 West St George Utah 8477 Avoiding Crutial Calamity Dear editor I waa very interested m the of commissioner Moon in last weeks paper I was gratified that she would attempt to clear up what she fell were about the sues involved in the dissolving of the recreation board I was very alarmed however that the county commissioners who will defend every stand they have taken concerning this recreation board business avoid the most crucial calamity that had taken place so far that is the blatant disregard by our elected officials to the organized and unified voice of so many Millard Co Residents I understand that the meeting in Fillmore where the petition was presented was not slated as a public hearing I would like to know however what difference if any that should make?
