Student nurses Shelley Williams students at Fillmore Elementary Hortencia First baby of the year The first baby of the new year was bom at the Fillmore Community Medical Center on January 4 1991 The nursing staff of the hospital made a quilt for the baby (shown in the picture) Many other merchants in town donated gifts to the child or her mother :55 am weighing 6 lbs 6 oz and 20 14 inches long Felipa Roman was bom at of Holden Utah to Hortencia 80th birthday The President The children of Scott West Barton arc pleased to announce his 80th birthday Scott was bom February 10 1910 in Greenville Utah He married Wilma Jones February 2 1946 They had 6 children: Mrs David (Sharon) Robinson Sandy Gary Barton Fillmore Mrs Robert (Rae Ellen) Hare Delta Mrs Ray (Bettie) DeVore West Bountiful Dan was with a great deal of pleasure the Hospital discovered they are also very oriented to community service students visit FES Student nurses Vicki Hare and Shelley Williams visited the Fillmore Elementary School to present a special unit cm AIDS to the 4th graders Both student nurses are enrolled in the Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center nursing program Educating all students in grades concerning AIDS has been mandated by the State of Utah Under the 4th grade teachers’ supervision and following guidelines set by the Utah State Office of Education Vicki and Shelley talked to the students about what the AIDS virus is and how it effects the body They also showed a video which helped the students to understand more about the disease Teaching this unit at the elementary school helped Vicki and Shelley to meet arequirement for their nursing program Fourth grade teachers expressed appreciation for the effective and careful manner in which the student nurses handled the controversial topic Tax forms for both State and Federal Income Tax are available at the Fillmore Cherryl Wootfj Library from 2 to 7 weekdays and to 6 Ph: Saturdays Old vs New It’s interesting to very warm and cuddly surprise on the morning of January 18 when they were presented with two quilts which had been made by the East Millard Fine Arts Guild One quilt was cnb size to be used for the
