Rodney and Sharon Wright just returned from a visit in Washington DC with Sharon’s daughter Doug and Lieuwen and Boyd and five children While there they toured the Amish Arlington country of Pennsylvania Cemetery and some of the things to see and do in downtown Washington on the Mall The Hinckley First Ward held their annual ward party A Mexican dinner was served after which the Pedrosa family entertained with dances and singing A street dance held in front of the church was the finale of the evening Sharon Wright drove to Provo to Karen take her Western out to lunch for her birthday Alta Shumway of Fillmore and Revo Taylor of Neola visited Sharon Wright on Saturday She also had a nice visit with Loree Sharia Mike Adam and Jenna Pace Kevin and Kathy Morris have their new baby Shantelle enjoying life with her family after spending a few days up north in the hospital Dean and Karen Redd received word that their daughter Susie has a new little 6 lb baby girl Mother and Capt age 41 of the US Army’s 63rd Medical Detachment based in Landstuhl Germany died September 17 1988 at Brooke Medical Hospital in San Antonio Texas Captain Strader sustained juries on August 28 while on duty at the USAF Ramstein Air Base West Germany during an air show involvcollision of three Italian ing the air force jets He was bom April 28 1947 in Delta Utah a son of Johnnie and Alice Spor Strader He married Virginia Elsen Hunt on November 28 1970 at Ft Wayne Indiana later solemnized on February 15 1972 Salt Lake LDS Temple He attended Salt Lake City CiSchool and ty’s Granite High graduated from Altamont High School in Duchesne County He was a police officer in Foosevelt Utah He worked for New York Life Insurance Company He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and also has attended Ricks College and the University of Southern Colorado He has served in the US Marine Corps the US Air Force and the US Army for more than 14 years A pilot he was qualified in Huey and Blackhawk helicopters A Captain in the Medical Service Corps he has served in Taiwan Thailand Viet Nam West Germany and many US states He was an active member of the LDS and Recorder 25 years until he retired in 1982 He was a cattle rancher and farmer active in the Beaver Lion’s Club and a Veteran of WWII He survived by children George Mack of Blanding Kim Averett and
