was buried in the Provo City Cemetery LaVern During the cold winter Theobald visited with her children Also she visited a week with her sister in and her Salt Lake Inez Steed daughter Grace Waldram in Bountiful She attended a Christmas Croft family dinner at Merril and Melba Croft’s in Salt Lake In Orem she visited with Paul and Dorothy Theobald and in with Verrue and Shirley Payson and daughter Joyce and Theobald family LaVern went to St George to visit Paul and Dorothy who were living there for the winter Merlin and Buelah and family and son Golden and Carol Theobald of Las Vegas were also in St George where he was having treatments at the hospital LaVern enjoyed very much the visits with her family and she is now at home Wesley and LaWanna Peterson were S VwV in Vernal recently to a Sue Quetta’s brother Clif Larsen babysat house and dog Millard County lost a favored son in the passing of J Calvin Croft on 25 1988 at the Provo Regional Feb Hospital Bom 10 May 1903 in Deseret Utah a son of Jacob Croft and Mary Eliason he was the great grandson of the Jacob Croft who made the trek to Utah in 1856 and was sent by Brigham Young to Fillmore to colonize and build dams along the various creeks and Sevier River including the first dams at Deseret and Scipio These dams helped provide the power for grist and saw mills Calvin was a graduate of Brigham Young University and taught a patient in the Fillmore Hospital four days after suffering a fall in her home on March 5 She was transferred to the LDS Hospital by ambulance on Tuesday March 8 We hope she can come home soon and we attended the and Louise Bennett funeral services of Louise’s niece in Salt The niece died Lake City Saturday suddenly at the age of 40 Louise’s sister Viola Croft and son and two grandsons came back with Louise after the funeral and spent two days Overnight guests of LaNola Johnson recently were Roy and Lucille and son Regan of Bountiful who came down especially to attend the missionary farewell of Sean Wood Also staying overnight were LaNola’s granddaughter and husband Shawna and Ed Payne and four children of Bountiful who were on their way to St George for KSL on a filming assignment Radio
