have purchased the John Henrie home in Sutherland We will miss them lots but wish them happiness with the good people of Sutherland Dan and Hollie Joseph bought the Broderick home and are getting settled in Rulon and Bonnnie Western of Provo visited friends and relatives in the Delta area They recently celebrated their 50th wedding with an open house held in Provo Howard and Betty Jo Western attended from here Bonnie had the misfortune to fall and break her leg so had to be on crutches for the celebration She is recovering very well The John Henry Taylor Family Reunion was held July 10 and 12 at the Taylor property on Sherwood Shores Swimming water skiing boat rides and volleyball were enjoyed as well as a lovely pot luck dinner on Saturday After the dinner an auction was held to raise funds for family business There were 111 present to enjoy the event Robert and Orpha Taylor received word Wednesday of the birth of their 30th grandchild a boy born to Doneva and Ron Hunt of Cedar City At home to welcome him is a sister Hayli Grandma Orpha has gone to spend several days getting acquainted with the new baby and helping the new mother Waldo Warnick Sr his son Bishop Waldo Delta Mrs Betty Johnson and Fontella Crafts attended a family reunion of their mother’s family Two of the mother’s sisters are still living and attended this reunion Mrs Florence Workman age 90 of Salt Lake and Ardella Riding age 89 of Delta The reunion was very enjoyable and special get together for the remaining children who attended the reunion Mrs Enid Bunker while on her vacation visited in Taylorsville with her also Paulene Dykhizen daughter visited with a daughter Janet Clark Mr Jack Clark and family and met and visited with 2 new great grandchildren Her visits with families were very enjoyable Mrs Lillian Taylor had a very choice vacation with family members during the past week Lillian went to Norwalk Her nephew CA in Los Angeles Harold Welkins took her to meet the bus at Fillmore at 12:30 am While While in there they visited together Los Angeles they visited Seal Hunand Long Beaches played tington Bingo at the Senior Citizens and won visited Knotts Berry Farm $1000 went through the “Queen Mary” and the large airplane that Howard Hughes built but only got 30 ft off the ground went to Universal Studios and Hollywood and Beverly Hdls and went to Disneyland near San left for Petaluma They Francisco and went to Santa Barbara drove along the ocean for miles It was a beautiful drive They spent the night at Petaluma CA then on to Fallon NV to spend the night and then came home They saw the big lake the flood made on the west desert for the first time the water is going down fast She came home with some good memories of her vacation In 1610 Captain Samuel Argali
