are dropping their children off at school and then starting their day off with a refreshing dip in the pool For the months of February and March the pool will be holding four special nights each week instead of two The pools Monday Family Night and Wednesday Bring a Friend Night have been going on for over a year Now for the next two months the pool will also be holding "Vi Price Night” on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and “Ladies Only Swim Hour” on Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:00 pm Admission for the Ladies Hour will be $1 00 or a swim pass Session 6 of the winter swimming lessons begins at the pool on Monday February 18 and will go to March 8 A session consists of nine swimming lessons running for three weeks at a cost of $1500 Four more winter sessions will be held before the coming summer If you want your child to become water safe before the warm months are upon us you had better not put off registering your child for swimming lessons any longer Registering for swimming lessons eluded them for the past three to years Delta was the runner-uWasatch in '84 Wasatch returned their whole team in '85 and Delta reversed the table scoring 219': to Wasatch's 206 points The Delta Rabbits gained three dividual first three seconds two thirds one fourth fifth and sixth place Delta coaches Ladd Holman and Dave Wankier were pleased with the out of 12 great team effort placing wrestlers Coach Holman stated that Delta wrestled Wasatch six times head on and pulled out five wins These were the key matches in the tournament but every team member added crucial wins One of the gutty performances was by Bruce Nielson who was wrestling on a broken foot Holman maintains that each performance was gutty match Danny Sheriff’s with Wasatch’s Shawn Kelly was a key David along with School Ladd Holman is the best coach you can get” Shane Crapo a junior wrestled at 12 lbs for Delta and has been involved with wrestling since the third grade He also did mental callisthenics in visually working his opponent set “Taking state has been a goal in my childhood so winning gave me a real feeling of accomplishment” from talks He said that the pep Coach Holman gave him the support he needed to win Shane is the son of I o and Althea Crapo He plans on tr ing for a slate title next ear knowing that every sear gets harder because the other wrestlers get more advanced He is also proud to wrestle for the Della team Gary Porter is the son Jim and Virginia Porter wrestling in the 167 lb weight He has been wrestling since the age of six Gary had to keep his weight down for this season He also cut down on his social life and worked on technique said he preparing for his matches He listened to what his dad and Coach Holman had to sav about certain moves Before matches he would relax and go over in his mind what he wanted to do Taking state has been a childhood goal He too will try for state next year at the same weight Coach I add Holman maintains there may be three state
