I think that it is because the contenders for office spend the first 10 minutes of their speech on the issues and the rest of the hour on defamation of the character of their opponent The new little son of Tom and Jodi Valerio was blessed by John Cooper Sr in the Hinckley First Ward Sunday There for this special occasion were John and Janet Cooper and three sons and John Cooper Sr and wife Ilene all from Fillmore Lenora Stevenson came from Holden Sheldon and Helen Christensen came from Bountiful as did their son Clay wife Deb and son Kirk Earl Christensen who is going in the mission home Thursday also tended Other special guests were Kevin and Kathy Morris and three sons and Harold and Belva great grandparents Morris and Don & Cherie Morris of Hinckley A family dinner was held at Don and the home of grandparents Cherie Morris The new little mister was given the name of Dallas Jay Kim and Mike Broderick are proud parents of their firstborn a daughter She was born in Payson hospital Saturday and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz She will be given the name of Kimberly Mikel are Rex and Happy grandparents Beverly Day of Delta and Jan and Dean Broderick of Orem Janae Bennett was baptized and confirmed by the Salt Lake City South missionaries She is the daughter of Bill and Gayle Bennett Evette Poulson daughter of Brad and Vicki Hardy was confirmed a member of the LDS church in the Hinckley first ward Pheasant hunters at the home of Oleta Swensen were Carl and Helen from Fairview Reed Randy and Jerry from Midvale and Neal and Carma and sons Kyle and Kevin of Sandy Beryl and Carl Hardy had their grandson Robert and two of his friends at their home for the pheasant hunt Flavia Bennett spent Saturday in Springville with her daughter Linda Stuart Gertha Bishop’s son Paul Virgin from LaHabre California is here for a week to help her get her home ready for the winter Bishop Shane and Laurie Pitchforth held a big Halloween Party at their home last week Everyone came in costume The incident of the evening was when Shane and Don Blackham was called out (in full costume) to a repair call by Utah Power and Light Company for which they work!
