Show Page 12 Millard Thun DSPS County FLOWELL Virgic Ivie Ph Mrs Arthur Allen spent the week of Aug 18 to 22 at BYU Education Week Great opportunity and they took advantage of it Mrs Bruce (Betty) Nihley of Salt Lake City is spending two weeks here with her mother Pauline Robinson at her mother’s home Pauline makes her home with another daughter Stephenson and her husband Cieotge at Holden Mr s Rex Allen and family and Rex's mother Ruth Allen were in Provo and Orem Aug 12 Rex and children returned home that evening ynn and Ruth stayed with Ruth’s and daughter Royal and Clarice Hurd and family in Orem overnight Candace Swallow was honored by attended the brides book at the reception for her college roommate Alaina Dtegmore in Emory Aug 8 who was mairicd earlier that day Kent and Peggy Swallow took their family to Spanish Tork Aug 9 where they were among the guests extending best wishes to Alaina and the groom where the newlyweds were further honored Candace attended the guest book this evening also Pauline Robinson was a guest of her son and daughter Ralph and eah Robinson Aug 12 and 13 Dale Robinson was home from his work with a sutveying crew for a visit with his parents Ralph and Leah He also and Pauline visited grandmothers reda Christensen Mrs Arthur Allen Mrs Ke' i Christensen and children Mrs Rex Allen and children Dean Allen and his mother Ruth Allen attended a family reunion in Salt Lake City Aug 16 The children and great grandchildren of the late Johnathan grandchildren and Roelpha Allen gathered for a day of visiting enjoying good food and getting the latest information on the family genealogy We are happy to report that Noma Jackson is improving real well from her serious illness She is at home and receiving excellent care from her famiHer Mrs John ly (Julia) Jackson of Mapleton is staying with her for a couple of weeks Another Mrs Bruce (Nancy) Jackson of Henderson spent two weeks here when Noma was released from the hospital All her family is concerned and willing to help Grandson Danny Jackson and his wife Linda and four children of Spanish Fork will be visiting grandma while they are guests of his parents Merlin and Zelda Jackson Don and llena Tomkinson and son Rodney have had visits from Don’s mother Nona Tomkinson’s brother Gerald Call and his wife Pat of Calif and their sister Elsie Call Channer and her husband Marvin of Klamath Falls OR They visited their sister Nona at August 28 1986 the West Millard Care Center in Delta Don visited by telephone Aug 17 with his brother Max Tomkinson from the latters home in Denver Max still has the cast on his leg which was injured in an accident at his work in Johannesburg South Africa Max reports he is getting along quite well although the accident was seven or eight months ago Hang in there Max we arc rooting for you! We are happy to learn that Dr Darnell Jones father LeGrande Jones is improving each day from his serious illness He and his wife Violet live in Kanab Grant Robinson took his wife Arleen to Salt Lake City Aug 10 to be with her mother Laura Atha The latter’s health isn’t so good so Arleen went to help her Grant went to the city and got Arleen Aug 14 Rick and Carol Bauer and baby Christina had a break from his work in Calif for a couple of weeks So they are here visiting his parents Frank and Dolly Bauer Little Christina has sureof grandpa and ly won the hearts grandma who adore this little girl Mrs Don (Carene) Baldwin came from her home in Beaver and took her mother Virgie Ivie with her to Provo 15 where they visited with Aug and Carenc’s daughter Angela and Mark Daley and children sang “You’ll Understand” a song written composed and accompanied by Susan Jeffery Dorothy Webb and Gayla J Erickson daughter spoke “1 Need Thee Every Hour" was sung by the choir directed by Melba Stevens Johnson She married James A Lewis Dec 29 1916 in Fillmore The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple He died April 28 1960 She was active in the LDS Church serving as president of MIA counselor in the Relief Society counselor in the Primary and as a She was also a Visiting Teacher member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers She received her education in the Millard County stopped in to visit their high school friends and Bobette (Peterson) Dwight Bushnell and five children Sunday while they were in Fillmore Cherryl and Robert Dwight and Bobette all graduated together
