occupied by the Wells Cannon family The father is employed elsewhere for the time being and the sons are running the former Ray George farm now called the “High Country Grains” Guests in the home of Anita and Terry Higgs for the past 10 days have David been the Watson brothers Steven and Joseph from Arizona They are the sons of Will and Janet Watson who used to be neighbors to the Higgs family in Kanosh Janet and Will enjoyed 3 days of their stay in Utah up in the cool of Adelaide Park They are busy preparing for the wedding of their daughter Christine On July 11 another daughter Mary Ann was in the line at the reception in Fillmore of her close friend Tricia Cox now Mrs Brinkerhoff As near as could be counted there were 282 members of the Whitaker family in attendance at their big reunion held at the Kanosh City park on July 5 1986 The weather was ideal and the facilities at the Pavilion were great At their geneology business meeting Max Whitaker was appointed as new Family president of the Whitaker Association taking over from Bob Whitaker son of Wilford and Dora Much talent was displayed at the program presented that day Delicious barbecue beef was served Charles with the pot luck dinner enjoyed boating and Fishing They all came home with nice sun burns A good time was enjoyed by both families At Sacrament Meeting last Sunday the program was under the direction of High Councilman Fred Tolbert Talks were given by FrH Tolbert and Paul Johnson and a vocal solo was by Mrs Warren Petersen There has been a large number of ward members who have attended the Mormon Pageant Sacrament mcctin on Sunday July 6 to stand in the circle as he blessed his baby daughter Lorelie Whitaker On Monday July 7 the Willard Whitaker family reunion was held which also took place at the City Park Part of the entertainment were the two treasure hunts planned by the Glen Whitaker family The younger children’s hunt took place around the park but the adults was much more difficult which took them around the Whitaker premises up to the cemetery where they go acquainted with locations of some of their ancestors graves then back to the open air and park where the treasure was found Volleyball was also enjoyed by the group Tuesday was a very special day for the Whitakers Those who were able to stay a few days longer accompanied their brother Mike and his wife Cindy to the Jordan River Temple where they received their endowments and had their three sweet children sealed to them Willard and Dathel feel really blessed to have all 12 of their children holding Temple recommends
