Arts Singers under the direction of Merle Hone Public is invited Interlibrary I oan There still seems to be questions on how to use this great service The oan is a service of the Utah terlibrary with State Library in cooperation libraries all over the nation Last year we were able to boirow 599 books on both fiction and non fiction subjects from libraries throughout the to Virginia and Texas to Montana All that is needed is a call on a toll free number stating cither the tle or the subject If the work is in the State Library it will be sent out imif it is not there it will be mediately and any put on computer library owning the work and wishing to send it will do so Books coming from libraries other than Utah State will take longer to arrive and will also have a shorter period of use Time should be allowed for the mailing time The patrons of our library have received a great deal of helps for youmlf a break Kerri Krause Miss Kern Krause daughter of Ray and Joyce Krause of Fillmore services are in addition to our thousands of research books and magazines Tiction may also be requested and in most cases the order will be filled except for the very newest publications Libraries need time to purchase and process new books and usually there is a waiting list on them However it doesn't hurt to ask for any you would like to read Libraries save you money by loaning the books you would like to read instead of you having to purchase them yourself We have four sets of Encyclopedias to loan and two more sets to use in the library Our research shelves are getting better all the time even though no library can have everything Postal rates have gone up (January) on book shipments so the Library Board is discussing the possibility of a small fee on Interlibrary loan to help defray the costs Up until now the postage has come from the library budget with no cost to the patron If you have any thoughts on the subject pro or con please express them at this time See you in the
