Was that in a drawer and you list tucked away never even looked at it until now ? Last year most of us had a grand time making those rcsolutions-agood ones “I will be patient with my they were: children! won’t talk about my behind will not their backs neighbors cat between meals” But did we keep them each day? One fault at a time is about all we can handle Maybe we were a little overly ambitious last year expecting to do all that was on that long list at one time Maybe it would be more sensible this year to make that list take one resolution at a time and face it every day with a prayer that day to overcome that fault then after its licked come to grips with another one After resolution faithfully kept is better than many that once made arc only gathering dust Well now it is time for new Rabbit BB team split last four games before losing to South Sevier Before losing to South Sevier in a very close game last week the boys’ basketball team split its last four games by winning two and losing two leavrecord at ing the Rabbits Even though the team hasn’t won very many ball games lately it has improved quite a bit from the start of the season First the Rabbits pulled out a seven point victory in a close game at North Sanpete the week before Christmas but then lost to Richfield in another close game the next night In the game with the Hawks Jared Smith had 17 points Russ Fowles 16 with 14 rebounds Todd Simmons had 15 Ken Pay was North points Sanpete’s high scorer with 16 Christensen from Richfield was the game’s high scorer in the game with 21 points Russ Fowles had 13 points for Delta After the holiday in which no games were played the Rabbits came back to The down a winless Juab team first two quarters were high but Delta finally got a seven point lead as the half came to a close Delta blew out the Wasps in the third quarter and kept the 20 point lead for the rest of the game Jared Smith was the leading scorer in the game with 17 points followed by Jeff Davidson from Juab who had 14 points But the following night the Rabbits put themselves back into sixth place in the region by losing to Manti Only North Sanpete and Juab are lower than Delta in region standings Even though the game was a close struggle into the final quarter Manti finally pulled it out late in the fourth with the help of Don Naylor’s accurate outside shooting He had 3 buckets for a total of 27 points Tyler Nielson also helped Manti with several steals and points 6’5” Glen Squire had eight points Jared Smith led the way for the Rabbits with 16 points six rebounds and eight assists Stace Riding was Delta’s leading rebounder with 10 Other scorers in the Manti game were Russ Fowles 12 Todd Simmons 10 Stace Riding 9 and Keith Johnson and Mike Maroney had two each Last week the Rabbits traveled to South Sevier where they lost by a disappointing 11 points They had the lead for three quarters including a seven point half time lead but lost it in the final minutes Jared Smith fouled out with under one minute to play He had a very fine game shooting well and scoring 30 points including ten out of 12 from the foul line This week the Rabbits will start their second rotation of playing all the teams in the region They will begin by hosting the Emery Spartans on Friday and travelling to Millard on Saturday Current region standings show that Richfield is at the top with a record North Sevier is Emery and Millard are both Manti and South Sevier have a tally Delta’s record is followed by North Juab is in the cellar w ith Sanpete at Muskrat trapping at Fish Springs Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge Juab County Utah will be open to muskrat trapping from Feb 23 to Mar 22 1986 Trapping will be by permit only Permittee selection will be by sealed bid for specified units Bids must be postmarked by Feb 6 1986 Successful bidders will be notified by mail Application forms instruction for applying and additional information can be obtained from Refuge Manager Fish Springs NWR PO Box 568 Dugway UT 84022 (801) Dentists and surgeons may soon rely on barnacle glue to mend parts of the human body Its strength and durability surpass most compounds but so far no one has been able to synthesize the stuff in a laboratory imilUlinnnuiiinijniing Stockman's Lounge Now Open - Under New Management Band Every Weekend $250 Single $400 Couple The blizzard melted!
