Hepworth was formerly from Hinckley and Steve I ovell from Oak City It was interesting to see the film of the beginning of the Shakespearean Festival How for the first two or three years had to build a reputation and do a lot of hard work and planning to get it on its way With competent people such as the Adams Fred his mother and father the business began to grow and the Shakespeare Festival is now recognized in most areas in the United States Old England come alive in the Festival Courtyard and the Educational offerings throughout the year promote continued and encourage learning about William Shakespeare The back stage tours were very enlightening The make-uscene shop and room costume shop and a walk through the tunnel into the Adams underground Memorial Theatre and the automated the observance of slide presentation the actual actors technicians costumes and musicians in preparation for live The tour guides are performances members of the performing company Most of us remember where Fred’s mother taught in the Delta High School and his father was a pharmacist in the Service Drug Without some goal and some effort to reach that goal I think we would be unable to live While many want and need work many look at it as the dullest of drudgery and yet to others it is the most exciting life giving part of life We can stand what we are doit ing if we can see the significance of W'hat must be almost unbearable is live are to they If toil people pointless must eat and if they are to eat bread forsomebody must make it Once the mula is established work is inevitably routine Almost every job has its dull aspects but any job can be made joyable by the conception of human service Whatever work is or thought to be it is essential to each of us for growth for character for development and for satisfactions which the idle never know In order for people to be happy they must work and remember that there is always something that each of us has to do whether we like it or not and remember that only through the dedicated work do we fulfill ourselves We must be grateful we are able to do our work and do it well to Mary Tippetts Congratulations and her attendents Laurel
