warm spring days make this an excellent time to visit the Fremont Indian State Park The Visitor Center is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm seven days a week with video orientation program exhibits artifact displays information desk restrooms and short interpretive trails leading to panels of Indian rock art Beginning Easter weekend guided tours of the museum and rock art trail which are both accessible to a wheelchair will be offered With the help of volunteer guides we hope to extend this service on Fridays and Saturdays through Memorial Day Also beginning on Easter weekend will be services offered through a concession agreement by “Clear Creek Folk Lore and Tours” These services will include horse and wagon rides as well as native American entertainment and Dutch Oven dinners These services will be offered Friday Saturday and Sunday through Memorial Day A fee is required for park use The fee is 50 cents for those 6 through 16 years of age $100 for those over 16 years aand children under 6 are free Senior Citizens who are Utah residents and 62 or over are eligible for a Speical Fun Tag at no charge This permit allows these people into all state parks for day use at no charge These permits are available at any state park including Fremont Indian State Park Concession services require an additional fee for all using those services We would like to encourage all Rides” which will be evaluating the condition of the vegetation of big game winter ranges looking for winter mortality of bie game and analyzing the present condition of big game observed According to Norm Bowden Game Manager in Southern Utah for the DWR the public involvement is critical since the Board of Big Game Control will ask for public input prior to setting the 1988 seasons Anyone HINCKLEY CUB SCOUT NEWS Nikki Hershey On February 26 1988 Pack 3946 held its annual Blue and Gold Banquet We all received airline tickets for a trip to Hawaii However half way during the trip the flight was hijacked After several demands the hijackers convinced the pilot to turn the plane around and to fly to Mexico instead of Hawaii When the plane landed and we all got off the plane we were treated to a wonderful dinner of Tacos and all the was fixings This wonderful program the idea of our new Den Committee which consists of Roger Howes and Lee Morris Thanks guys it was a fun trip After supper we recognized the achievements of many of the scouts in the pack All of these boys have been hard toward their adworking vancements as could be seen by the number of awards earned and the number of Cub Scouts that advanced Wade Gardner also received his Bobcat in the infamous Bobcat ceremony both Casey Cropper and Joey Maxfield received their Wolf badge along with one gold and four silver arrow points for Casey and one gold and one silver arrow point for Joey Casey also received his Bear book Nathan Hirschi and Ryan Mams received their Bear Ryan has also received one gold and three silver row points and his whittling card Brent Smith earned one gold and three silver arrow points to wear with his Bear Badge The Webelos Den has been working has paid really hard and the hard work off Steven Howes Cody Nichols Brooke Talbot Cannon Hammaker all Jason Mortensen and Cody Gardner received several of their badges Some of the badges that were earned includthe ed the Engineer the Craftsman Showman Forestry Citizenship Fitness All of these boys deserve a pat on the back for the hard work and the determination it takes to achieve these honors There were also several other awards
