Thus ended her days at home in Art’s Ann worked Initially clothing store selling and doing some six buying of ladies’ clothing Then for and Fabric years she managed Quality Crafts and she credits Art Jeffery with much that she learned “Each Tuesday morning he had a management meeting and the training was invaluable” With the influx of new people into Delta business prospered The fabric shop moved from the hardware store into the larger building next door There the new people came took frames and spent classes bought the volume They created money necessary to keep a business going A lover of people Ann very much enjoyed and appreciated the newcomers personally as well as professionally With the slow down at IPP people began to move As they left business dropped off Ann could see the handwriting on the wall If a local business couldn’t survive it seemed logical that she would have to look outside of Delta for something else While managing the Fabric and Crafts shop Ann became aware of Laurie Griffiths’ artistic talents and convinced her to teach a class When the business began to wind down Ann had an idea Why not capitalize on Laurie’s talent and Ann’s aggressive sales abilities?
