Hinckley Cub Scouts held their annual Blue and Gold Banquet The evening was a big success Each boy and his father baked a cake and donated the finished product to the Pack for a cake auction Clark Mortensen was our auctioneer The money which was received from the auction is used by the Pack for badges activities and supplies Thanks to all who purchased cakes After filling up on sloppy joes potato salad and other goodies the awards were handed out Jake King and Jeremy Petersen each earned the rank of Bobcat Steven Howes earned his Bear Brent Smith has been working really hard He received Lessons begins Monday March 9 Classes being offered this session are which Mommy & Me and are taught in the mornings and BeginInners Advanced Beginners and Adult Classes are termediate taught in the afternoons beginning at 3:30 pm Each swim lessons session runs Monday through Friday for two weeks (10 lessons) and the cost for each session is $1500 per student Toni Harris teaches the morning lessons and Cindy Bunker teaches the evening classes Both teachers do an cellent job and get good positive results from their students To register for the winter swimming lessons call the pool at Advanced Lifesaving course being offered An American Red Cross Advanced Lifesaving Course is being offered at the West Millard Community Swimming Pool beginning Monday March 9 at 3:30 pm If you are a good swimmer at least 15 years of age in good health and are interested in lifeguarding you should register for this class The Advanced Lifesaving Course 21 hours and will last approximately the cost will be $3000 This fee will cover all instruction use of the pool and the text book A certificate and lifesaving swim patch will be given at the successful completion of the lifesaving course Swimmers who successfully pass the Advanced Lifesaving course will be certified for three years and will as a be eligible for employment lifeguard at the West Millard Community Swimming Pool or any other the
