friends Norma Paxton accompanied her son Henry and wife Colleen to Salt Lake City on Wed Nov 26 where she will be their guest at least through the cold months ’Charles and Winifred Williams have returned from a recently enjoyable trip to Canyon Country CA here they were guests of their son Von and family ’Blaine and Minnie Penney will be enjoying the nice climate of St George this winter stayed for Thanksgiving and the day after with Ralene and Eddie Hansen and girls We got to see or talk to old friend then bid so long to loved ones and headed home Thank goodness we had on Saturday good weather The weekend of Nov 22 Stephen Stewart Was pleased to have his good friend Robert Whicker as a visitor in his home 1 hey really had a good time and even managed to take time to help out and Kaye from the Edna home purchased Ahlstrom family What a happy day Nov 20 was for Duane and Jackie George when they received their few hrs old adopted son at the St George Hospital who was born Nov 19 He will be named Brady Van George Proud grandparents Metta and Van were thrilled to have the privilege of becoming acquainted with little Brady before the family left for their home in Sacramento CA A very happy celebration was held on Nov 28 in the Meadow Ward to honor freda Christensen on her 9()th The hall was beautifully birthday decorated with pine trees and red and white poinsetias A lovely dinner was planned and served by her granddaughters Over 70 family members enjoyed this delicious meal The family was entertained by a short program which consisted of a poem "A Tribute to Freda Christensen" writeen by Metta George and read by Revean Newby The Vernon Christensen family put on a musical skit "I’m glad to be a Christensen descendant" Of special mention was a song writRobinson ten by Jolene Sevey “Giandmas are made of Memories” This was sung by Jolene’s little children Throughout the afternoon music was provided by background and grandchildren gieat grandchildren Freda was overcome with joy to see so many of her posterity in attendance She said it ws the happiest day of her life Many relatives and friends came to help make the day special for her The family would like to thank all who came to pay their repsects to their mother and grandmother Looking forward to this special day with great anticipation made Freda look 10 years younger She was
