Show IN AND AROUND DELTA Week's News from the Comimj Metropolis Robby Whlcker's little boy was severely se-verely burned last week with hot water. wa-ter. His mother had Just poured a boiler of hot water Into the washing machine when the little boy came along ani pulled out the plug. The hoi water spouted out, striking him In the neck and running down his side. Dr. II roa dil us came up at once and gave what relief he could. While the burn la severe, especially on the neck, it will not end seriously. There was a good sized crowd at the Hallowe'en party given by the Young Ladies' Mutual last week and the hall was appropriately decorated with Jack o'lanterns, with cartoons and other Reasonable emblems. All sorts of ghosts were also to be seen on the floor in fantastic costumes. Owing to two members of the committee commit-tee being sick the ladies were not able tit furnish much of a program, but they invite everyone to come to tholr next social, when they will try and bavs a more interesting program. Itert Wallace, Mlltn Moody, G. W. Cropper and a couple of other hunters went down to Clear Lake List week duck hunting. Ducks were plenty and the party came home with all the game they wanted. Ed Hunker, D. Llsonbce and other went across the valley last week after deer. They went up Whiskey Creek and found game quite numerous, and each of the party was able to bring home a deer. Hunters from Oak City also have found plenty of deer up Oak Creek. The Ilakery and Delicatessen company com-pany has had the bake oven torn out and rebuilt the past week, as It was not working as satisfactorily as it might. We learn that one reason why the Company Is so successful with Its bakery goods Is because It uses Kansas Kan-sas City hard wheat flour for nearly everything, as do all first elass bakers. bak-ers. R. J. Law Is getting Into his new store this week, but It will take several sev-eral days and as long as there is any th'ng at the old store you can get special bargains.- L. Anderson, having got through on bis farm has gone back to California for the winter. Frank Samuels has gone back to Curtis, Neb., for the winter. win-ter. Last we'k we overlooked an important impor-tant arrival on the west side. This was a baby girl that came to the hom of Frank Helse. Mother an! daughter daugh-ter doing nicely.
