AND MRS. CORDELL FINLINSON Ileception Honors Bridal Pair . Cordell Finlinson of Oak City claimed Miss Gloria Craw for his bride April 12, 1969 in St. George LDS Temple wedding rites. Bridal parents are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Finlinson of Oak City City and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craw of Minersville, Ut. The young couple was honored honor-ed at a reception that same evening eve-ning in Minersville and further honored Saturday, April 19. in Oak City with a reception and dance. They greeted guests before a backdrop of white draped with blue. The bride was radiant in her traditional wedding gown of white lace with a full skirt, matching train and fitted sleeves. Her veil was of sheerest bridal illusion. She carried a bouquet of pink roses with aqua carnations. The bride's attendants were dressed in aqua brocade with sheer sleeves and carried small umbrellas decked with flowers. Master of ceremonies was Lenox Finlinson, an uncle. Program Pro-gram numbers included a bridal march that was participated in by Niel Craw with a cousin; Hugh Davis with Trudy Finlinson; Kitt Finlinson with Ann Payne; Ralph Filinson with Darlene Carter; Car-ter; John Craw with Susan Rick; Best Man Lambert Dutson with Maid of Honor Beverly Craw. They were followed by the bride and groom. The march was followed fol-lowed by a duet by Trudy Finlinson Fin-linson and Hugh Davis who sang; "Til". Ralph Finlinson gave a harmonica solo. Edgar W. Lovell and Paulette Abbott sang "Let It Be Me." Newel Day gave a comical selection. "The Hen and the Rooster." Beverly, Darlene, Ann and Susan sang "April Love." The bride and groom gave brief remarks after which they did the bridal waltz. At the guest book was Anna Jane Dutson. Niel Craw and Arviu Finlinson were gift bearers. Ushers were Robert Craw and Preston Finlinson. Finlin-son. Serving were Myra and Sonja Finlinson, July Anderson and Jaice Dutson. The newlywed couple received many lovely anl useful gifts. Billings and two children of Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Bryce G. Billings and four children of Salt Lake and Mr. Fenton Billings Bill-ings and two children of Spring-ville Spring-ville while Mrs. Fenton Billings and baby daughter were in Salt Lake to be near her mother, Mrs. Dean J. Ewing who 's in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mitchell announce an-nounce the birth of a grandson, born April 27th to daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard (Ella Mae) Taylor of Milan, New Mexico. He has an older brother, Wayne. Visiting at the Melvin Mitchells are son, Mr. and Mrs. David (Pamela) (Pam-ela) Mitchell of Milan, New Mex. Cleo Whicker, President of Ueth State Fireman's Association attended attend-ed a three day Seminar on Detecting Detect-ing Arson, presented by Utah Trade Tech and Utah State Fireman's Fire-man's Association held in Salt Lake City. Thursday, April 24, the 5th Quorum Quo-rum of Elders presented a banquet for the ward members and a d3-licious d3-licious beef dinner was enjoyed followed by a program consisting of, invocation, Kent Hortin; Pam ela Callister MC'd; Tnsha played a piano solo.. Three numbers were sung by double trio, Becky Moody, Vivian Nielson, Beverly Bliss, Mar- lee Evans, Janet Jeffery, Karen Pace, accompanied by Mrs. Glena Moody. Lathel Callister MC'd a Happily Marrieds. Participating were Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Angell, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Hollingshead, Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Finlinson. UTAH 7eeHd the ........ .. - v- - $ DOUG LARSEN Doug Larsen Is the tall, talented son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larsen of Deseret. Doug Is sociable, enjoys en-joys a variety of people and friends and likes getting involved. His good natured teasing, fun-loving personality, and tolerance of others has gained him the admiration of all those who know him. Doug has great talent in the field of acting, and shows his rare sense of humor off stage and on in his character portrayal of the parts of Harry Macaffee in "Bye Bye Birdie" and the hilarious Muscles Mus-cles O'Rourke in "The Great Life". The parts were both humorous and interesting. Besides acting, Doug sings in the A Cappella Choir and sang a solo on the Senior Hop Assembly. As-sembly. He lists his hobbies and interests playing the guitar, sports, singing and girls. Doug enjoys school also and lists as his favorite1 classes psychology and A Cappella Choir. After graduation he plans to attend BYU to major in psychology or theology and minor in Music and Dramatics. CARD OF THANKS At a time like this, just to say "Thanks" doesn't seem adequate. However, I do want everyone to know how sincerely we appreciate all that has been done for our family since Ron was wounded. Mrs. Gary (Susan Ashby) Gardner Gard-ner left to join her husband in the Islands. We are wishing them a very interesting year ahead. Sorry we missed our visit Sue, I'd planned plan-ned on it so. A letter from Dale Bunker says he is very interested in his work and learning but would appreciate letters. Let's send some to our servicemen. We chatted with Ron Bailey's mon who says he is improving and sends best wishes to his friends here and we are deeply indebted to the fellows who give so much for our home comforts in the service of our country. In Sacrament meeting Bishop Lovell complimented Doug Bailey on his wonderful All Around Athlete Ath-lete record at the five State meet and we are proud he is 1500 points ahead of all competition. Great going, Doug. Also the bishop congratulated con-gratulated Brent Jarvis on his creative cre-ative design which won First in State of Utah. Michael Van gave a short talk. The Primary children, under the direction of President Lucille Thomas, counselors, Iris Harris and Clareen Forster, sec, Nola Mork, gave a very interesting program. Many happy parents enjoyed en-joyed watching children participate. partici-pate. Mr. and Mrs. James Jarvis have enjoyed a visit from Corine's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Snyder of Curtis, Neb. and her sister, Mrs. Pat Mary Maron and children, Christi and Timmy of Klamath Falls, Oregon. They will be leaving leav-ing for Neb. where Mrs. Maron and children will spend the month with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Quin Shepherd visited his mother, Mrs. Warren Shepherd in Salt Lake City. Their daughters, Mrs. Judith Barney of Bountiful and Annette of BYU visited there also. Millard County School District's Second Annual Art Exhibit opened Sunday, April 27 through May 3rd. It will be open school hours and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Saturday, May 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It's interesting to see the youngsters young-sters talents. May 1st has been designated Law Day "Justice and Equality depend on Law and You." Carl Anderson and friends visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Niels Anderson over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Niels Clark and Mrs. Leland Sanderson went to the Valley Music Hall to see "Rouvan", Friday, April 25th. Kerry and Sam Workman and Mrs. Pat Black, children of the late, Mr. Clark Workman and Geneva Winsor were, here for grandfather, Lige Winsor"s birthday and spent the night with the Niels Clarks. Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Myers and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Myers spent Sunday Sun-day with brother, Angus and Frieda Myers. I Week . . . .. 1 I. (-$c...a .iff BEVERLY SKEEM One of Delta High School's top five senior students for 1968-69 L Beverly Skeem, daughter of Fred and Elva Skeem of Hinckley. Beverly Bev-erly has great scholastic ability and takes school and hor studies seriously. Beverly has AP Chemistry this year, which is one of her favorite classes. She also enjoys her Simulated Simu-lated Office Classes where she Is one of the top students. She is an extremely good typist and is working work-ing on passing1 her 120 word shorthand short-hand test. She is also one of the top Bookkeeping students. Beverly enjoys Softball during the summer. She also enjoys playing play-ing the accordion and has shar?d her musical talent with others many times. She appreciates the fact that everyone has merit and is as good as his neighbor. She feels that each person has a duty to contribute what he can to society. Beverly also believes that everyone should do his best in everything he attempts. at-tempts. Beverly plans to attend the BYU where she will major in math and minor in some other science. Vernene and Andrea An-drea Archibald and Miss Margaret Rodriquez, all of Provo. Dinner was served to 14 people Sunday at the iHansen home. They all enjoyed a good visit. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Bunker are the proud parents of a baby girl 5 lbs 15 ozs, born April 18, 1969 at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She will be named Cynthia (Cindy) Bunker and has an older brother, Brian, who has been staying stay-ing with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. iLyle Bunker for the past two weeks in Delta. i Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lee Tuesday were Jess's sister, Mrs. Birdie Mickleson and her son Raymond of Redonda, Beach, Calif, and her daughter, Mrs. Georgia Munson of McGill, Nev. They had a very fine visit together. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lee are announcing an-nouncing the marriage of their daughter, Betty Dalton to Mr. Tom Davis. The newlyweds were married mar-ried in Las Vegas, Nev. Friday, April 18, 1969. They had their honey moon in Las Vegas and returned to Delta Monday night where they will make their home. All of their friends wish them much joy and happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sorenson spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Salt Lake visiting with friends and relatives rela-tives and their family, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Sorenson and family in Taylorsville and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hardy in Draper. They attended at-tended the performance of "Rou-voun" "Rou-voun" at the Valley Musice Hall, which was very grand and they enjoyed it very much. Miss Carol Adams and Paul Spor of Provo, BYU, were Delta visitors this weekend with their parents. Miss Diane Skragg went back to Provo with them and will spent the week visiting. Mr. and Mrs. June Black spent the weekend in Ogden and Provo with their children. They also attended at-tended the performance of "Rou-voun" "Rou-voun" at the Valley Music Hall in Salt Lake Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Buchanan drove to Provo Sunday afternoon to take their daughter, Teresa and Peggy Lovell back to the BYU DHS Hews Items TP.I-DEL REVIEW: The 19G9 Tri-Del Review will be held Monday Mav, 5, in the DHS Gym. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be no admission charged. Everyone is most cordially invited. The Tri-Dels for next year will ba introducted and next year's officers announced.
