Show SECOND WARD AREA NEWS BRIEFS EDDYS Mr. ond Mrs. DaWayne Kimbor and five boys of Ogden spent the weekend visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kimber and the Will Bunkers in Sutherland. The Delta 2nd Ward MIA Maids had a project making pajamas and house slippers recently for the Children's Primary Hospital in Sait Lake. Mrs. Norma Farnsworth, their leader was in charge. The articles are now finished and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Farnsworth and their family made a trip into Salt Lake during the week to deliver the articles to the hospital. Miss Kathy Stoddard, student at USU, Logan, is spending the Christmas Christ-mas and New Year Holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Stoddard and family. Steve Stoddard and his daughter, Kathy, are spending three days in Calif, and Las Vegas on business and pleasure. They plan to attend a show in Las Vegas. Mrs. Marilyn Stoddard and children, chil-dren, Debra, Patricia, Gregory and Badley spent Saturday in Sanii-quin Sanii-quin at a family get-together. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Farnswor'h and family spent Monday 23rd visit ing their family members up north. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Warenisky and family n North Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Kimber and family who have just moved into their new home in Taylorsville, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sorenson spent Christmas visiting with their children, chil-dren, Mr. and Mrs. Gil Sorenson and family of Taylorsville and Mr. and Mrs. Garry Hardy and family of Draper. On their way home they visited in American Fork with Nell's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Warnick. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Goold of Monroe Mon-roe spent Christmas with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Leish-man Leish-man and three sans. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Leishman and sons spent Thursday and Friday in Monroe visiting with family and friends. Miss Teresa Buchanan, student at BYU in Provo, is spending the holidays holi-days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Buchanan. Miss Ruth Adams and Mr. Nathan Adams, students at the U of U, Salt Lake, spent the Christmas holidays with their parents and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Judd and .nine children of South Gate, Calif, visited visit-ed several days with Sam's mother, Mrs. Hazel Gronning during the holiday. j The ward is saddened at the sudden passing of Mrs. Sarah A. McCullough. She was a fine mother, friend and neighbor and her beautiful beau-tiful handwork, quilts, crocheting, etc, will long be remembered and enjoyed. Our sympathy and love go to the family at this time, of sorrow. Mr. and Mis. Mr. Neil Whicker, student at BYU and his sister, Connie, student at USU, were home during the holidays holi-days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Whicker. Mr.and Mrs. K. L. Mclff of Richfield Rich-field spent the Christmas holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Stephenson. Mrs. Gwen (Stephenson) Jones met her husband, Phil Jones of Fort Ord, Calif, at the Salt Lake Air Port Thursday, 10th. They spent their holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilard Stephenson. Phil has to report back to his base on Jan. 2nd. Miss Allmendinger spent Christmas Christ-mas Day at her home In Draper. She returned to Delta Thursday and brought a girl friend back with her for a few days. Miss Allmen-dinger Allmen-dinger lives at the Willard Stephen son home and teaches at Delta High School. Mrs. Fontella Bishop left for Chicago, 111. by train, Monday and spent the Christmas holidays with her son, Mr .and Mrs. Joe Bishop and family. Mr. and Mrs. Verue Theobald (Shirley Wright) and two children Sharon and David of North Ridge, Calif, flew into Salt Lake last Saturday Sat-urday and came to Delta to spend Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wright. They returned re-turned to Salt Lake Wednesday night to fly back to their home in Calif. Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Wally Wright and daughter, Gena of Logan spent the holidays with Wally's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wright. Wally is a student at USU in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lyman had all of their children home for Christmas. Miss Jane Lyman of Logan, student at USU; Mr. and Mrs. Bob George (Mary) of Tempe and Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lyman and two children of Riverside, Calif, have visited during the entire holiday with their parents and Mr. and Mrs. John Robertson and son and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lyman were here Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Jeffery had their family home over the Chist-mas Chist-mas holiday, Steven, student at Weber College in Ogden; Keith, student at Weber and his fiancee, Miss Betty Packer of Logan and student at USU; Mr. and Mrs. Wy-dell Wy-dell Jeffery and their two sons, .Bradley and Brian of Ogden. Wy-dell Wy-dell is also a student at Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Jeffery and daughter, daugh-ter, Sherry Lee of Provo. Bruce is a student at Provo Trade Tech. Pearl Jeffery of Salt Lake and Iivin's mother, Mrs. Adaline Jeffery visited at the Irvin Jeffery home Wednesday morning. TO THE EDITOR Dear Citizens of Millard County, As your District Attorney and in light of the fact that the Grand Jury of Millard County, 1968, has concluded its business and has been officially discharged by the District Count of Millard County, I believe it is now encumbant upon me to make some comments concerning the procedures that have taken place in your county. First, I most sincerely commend individually the members of the late Millard County Grand Juiy who have served you people so diligently dili-gently over the last several months and thereby, I indirectly salute you citizens of this county as a whole, for these seven people were strictly representative of you all. Our judicial system which includes our sense of fairness and justice is in no danger so long as we have such "timber". It is further reas suring to know that, while there are disagreements and disputes in matters of public concern, there is. by the finding of the Grand Jury, no criminal conduct unprosecuted or unpunished within the county. j As most of you are aware, the .Grand Jury system is a criminal procedure; it is designed to assist . in bringing those accused of a j criminal offense before the trial court. Public officials and employees employ-ees are not subject to Its official criticism or censure unless they have wilfully and corruptly, in a criminal sense, conducted themselves them-selves with respect to their position or office. That fact to the contrary notwithstanding, not-withstanding, it is my considered opinion that many of the matters which were of countywide concern have been resolved or stabilized as a result of the Grand Jury hearings and I, therefore, submit that such Grand Jury has served most beneficial bene-ficial public service. For that reason, rea-son, I certainly endorse the calling of the Grand Jury and feel honored to have assisted them in their efforts. In closing, I must state that those of you who have held the opinion that there is any division in the St. George LDS Temple on the 20th of Dec.
