New officers of-ficers were elected for the 1964-65 school year. The new president is Marlene Bliss. The two vice presi dents are Beatrice Schena and Prin cipal David Church.' Sharon West ern was elected secretary. Mrs. Beth Anderson, Mrs. Margie Judd and Mr. Ren Taylor have returned re-turned home from their stay in the hospital. They are feeling very well and we hope it won't be long until they have regained their normal nor-mal health and strength. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Maylon Erickson visited vis-ited in Provo Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Robisom . Belva Morris was hostess to her Rook Club. A lovely supper was served and rook was played. The Hinckley Town Board members mem-bers and their wives met at Hatch's Cafe to honor the two out-going members. They were Ken Damron and Ken Mecham. The new mem-'bers mem-'bers are. Douglas Spencer and Wesley Wes-ley Peterson. Also attending besides be-sides the wives of the before mentioned men-tioned men were Mr. and Mrs. Ran-del Ran-del Swensen, Mr. and Mrs. Dana Pratt, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Western. . The early morning breakfast to start the "Hinckley Clean-up" was a big success. Our thanks to the Lions Club-" and to Cherie Morris, the beautification chairman. The whole town turned out to clean and rake their yards. . Mr. and-Mrs. Gaylen Cropper and children returned to Sonora, Calif, after a twoTweek's visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Carroll of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. George Ekins, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ekins, Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bliss and Mrs. Lydia Ekins attended at-tended the wedding reception of their niece, Miss Anna Mae Ekins in Tooele Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reeve came from Fillmore to attend the funeral of Mrs. Fannie Maxfield and to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reeve and Mrs. Lydia Ekins. The Town of Hinckley expresses sincere sympathy to the family and close friends of Mrs. Fannie Max-field. Max-field. The Explorer Class, the MIA MAIDs and the Laurel Class with their leaders, Evelyn Morris and Sheldon Western and Mr. Western had a lot of fun at a progressive party. Swensen; Swen-sen; punch and cookies, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George E-kins. E-kins. A big thank you is extended to each of these parents for their hospitality. Dancing was enjoyed at the Seminary building and ice cream and cookies were served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Western. All who attended had a wonderful time. Olr sympathy is extended to the families of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Day, Mr. and Mrs. John Day and Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Bennett. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of their infant. Mrs. Betty Morris and her daughter daugh-ter Ruth Anna went to Salt Lake Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Workman has as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Hen esey Kohler of Midway over the weekend. Zion is growing at least in Hinckley. Our two newest members are sweet little daughters 'born to Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Randall. Congratulations Con-gratulations to both of these families. Carl Talbot is visiting his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Talbot. Leo Ekins was at home with his parents over the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ekins, Mr. and Mrs. Arza Hinckley and Mrs. Frank Badger of Salt Lake and Mr. Harold Hinckley and Mrs. Nellie Jones of California, who are former residents, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Workman last week. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Workman attended at-tended conference in Salt Lake. While there they had dinner with Blaine and Harriet Spendlove and took a tour of the new school wher Harriet teaches. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardy went to Salt Lake to visit Mrs. Hardy's parents par-ents who have moved from Holden to the city. Mr. David Stevens has been operated oper-ated on for cataracts in a Salt Lake hospital. -- 4-H NEWS The Gay Gardeners held their first meeting at Shanie Manis' home April 13th. Officers elected were Raeleen Brown, Pres.; Linda Galli, Vice Pres.; Phyllis Galli, Sec, and Judith Galli and Dottie Damron, Dam-ron, Party Planners. She is able to go for short rides which will help pass the long days. Jackie has been in good spirits throughout her long confinment. She always has a smile for you. We are real glad to see Mrs. Wind back from California. Haven't Hav-en't seen Mr. Wind yet, but we all welcome them both home. Also visited with Mr." and Mrs. Elwood Dutson and family fam-ily and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barton and family. Mr. Marven Ogden will be up here during Relief Society on May 12th to give some good ideas and show films on landscaping. Please keep it in mind. On April 21st Leamington Ward Relief Society will be held at 10:00 a.m., then in the afternoon a lady from the Utah Power and Light Co. will give some good patio party and cooking suggestions. The Mutual had a very nice turn out last Tuesday nite for the Spring sing. The program was very good and there was plenty to eat for all. Also the Beautiflcation Commit tee took about $25.00 on surprise packages and candy. Thanks a lot! Mr. Afton Nielson and Earl Tol-bert Tol-bert and two sons of Magna were down last Saturday to visit friends and relatives and also some business busi-ness details. I hear Afton is rent ing his farm out on the hill to some people from up that way. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford (Curley and Aileen Greenleaf) Mitton were in town for a short time last Saturday. Satur-day. He used to be Deputy Sheriff in Lynndyl years ago. They are living liv-ing in Bakesfield, Calif, now. Mr. Stanley Bradfield and friends have spent some time in Leamington Leaming-ton lately. Happy birthday to Kay Lovell, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaForge Lovell who is on a mission in the Florida area. Won't be long until you'll be home Kay. Many happy returns. Mr. Earl (Bus) Nielson was down from Bountiful visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson Niel-son last Sunday. I am going go-ing to 'be teaching again. Mrs. Nana Na-na Lee White, who has been teaching teach-ing in my place, has moved. We certainly appreciate her help. We had a "coffee" for her last Friday afternoon at Mrs. Willis Morrisons. Church services will start at 11 a.m. This week's services will be conductedby five high school students stu-dents from the Wasatch Academy. The theme will be, 'Christian Youth of the World Today".
