Show i Millard Cduniy Chronicle Jehovah Witnesses Yill Convene In Pocatello, Idaho Jehovah's Witnesses of the Delta congregation have made final preparations pre-parations and will srion 'be leaving for Pocatello, Idaho, to attend their three-day circuit convention. This Bible seminar, Dec. 30 and 31 and Jan. 1, will be held in the Pocatello Pocatel-lo High School. Mr. Donald Kozina, local presiding minister, said they are all anxiously looking forward to this gathering to gain new Bible knowledge and better teaching methods that will help them to improve im-prove their ministerial qualifications. qualifica-tions. At this convention they will also meet their new district supervisor, sup-ervisor, Mr. Andrew K. Wagner of Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Wagner has been associated J r f ANDREW K. WAGNER with Jehovah's Witnesses since 1922 and has been in the full-time ministry min-istry since 1928. Twenty of these years have been spnt at the Watchtower Society's world headquarters head-quarters in Brooklyn. Here much of the Bible literature books, magazines, mag-azines, booklets and Bibles distributed dis-tributed 'by Jehovah's Witnesses are printed by a staff of over 600 full-time ministers." He is a graduate gradu-ate of the 28th class of the Watch-tower Watch-tower Bible School of Gilead in South Lansing, New York and has served in the circuit and district supervisory work since 1950. Lathel Callister announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine, and Mr. Martin J. Wistisen, Dec. 28 in the Manti Temple. The newly wed couple will be honored at a reception Wednesday evening from eight-thirty until 11 o'clock in Deseret Slake House, at Delta. A cordial invitation to attend at-tend is extended to their many friends. The bride-elect, graduated from Brigham Young University, is teaching teach-ing second grade at the Liberty School in Murray. Mr, Wistisen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raoul Wistjsen, of Bancroft, Idaho, is completing studies stu-dies at BYU. The couple will make a home at Provo following their marriage. Helta Art Club Delta Art Club members met Thursday . night for the annual Christmas party, with Mrs. Nelle Callister as hostess. Present were Amelia Cole, Romania Ro-mania Bird, Dorothy Killpack, Cal-lie Cal-lie Morrison, Lyle Moody, Alma Petersen, Thora Petersen, Lorna Bunker, Joy Morrison, Loa Black, Melba Crafts, Myrl Crafts, and the hostess. Favors and holiday decorations made the tables, and gifts for each member were on the Christmas tree. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Pace, of Salt Lake City, and their five-months old daughter, Lori Ann, visited in Delta the first of the week with their sisters and husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Dalton and Mr. and Mrs. Max Humphries. Their father, C. M. Pace, met them here Sunday, and they returned with him Monday to Las Vegas for a visit through the Christmas holidays with Lori Ann's grandparents. Deseret Garden Club Christmas Part V Hflfi! IICC. Ifi The Deseret Garden Club held their annual Christmas party In the Relief Society room Friday even- lng, Dec. 16. We were sorry that some of our members were unable to attend. Those present had an enjoyable time. The room was decorated dec-orated with pine boughs, cones, candles, Christmas trees, etc., giving giv-ing It a festive air. Christmas carols car-ols from a record player greeted the guests as they arrived. A program pro-gram of Christmas songs by the group and a Christmas story by Gertrude Western was enjoyed. A delicious lunch was served by hostesses, host-esses, Nora Cropper, Lucile Hales, Beverly Eliason, Cleo Eliason and Edna Christensen. Gifts were exchanged, ex-changed, then officers for the coming com-ing year were elected. We are very pleased with our new officers and know that if the members will support sup-port them we will have a successful success-ful year in 1961. The new officers are Fay Davies, president; Evah Conk, vice president; Josie Moody, secretary, and Edna Christensen, reporter. The grand prize (a beautiful blanket) was won by Edna Christ-1 ensen who was really surprised and , delighted. Out going officers are Nora Crop-' per, Lucile Hales, Bertrice Erickson and Beverly Eliason. We want to' thank them for a job well done Sunshine Club We held our Christmas party at the church house, Dec. 15, 19C0, 13 members were present. , The table was beautifully decorated decor-ated and a delicious turkey dinner din-ner with all the trimmings was served at 1:30, catered by Hatch's City Cafe. After dinner we had a short program pro-gram consisting of a song by Tek-ela Tek-ela Dekker: skit. I.ula Pearson and Blanch Works; accordion selection1 by Ruth Searle; reading "by Madge Christensen and Carrie Black. We then exchanged gifts. Lola and Hatch Farnsworth served ser-ved this delicious dinner free. We do wish to thank them publicly for their kindness. This is the 3rd year they have done this for us and we do appreciate it.
