B Bushnell were held in Meadow on onI I Saturday at 2 p. p m m. b by Bishop Venoy Labrum Mr Bushnell died Friday morning Nov 28 at the home of his daughter Mrs Emil Pearson in Delta at the age of two eighty-two of c cruses causes uses incident to old age He was born at Meadow Jan 12 1865 a son of John and Elizabeth Brockbank Bushnell Of pioneer stock his life had been spent in Millard County where he assisted materially in developing the coun coun- ty He was a farmer and stock- stock raiser for many years at Meadow and some years ago he and Mrs Bushnell farmed near Delta and made their home here Since the death of his wife Feb 4 1947 Mr Bushnell had made his home in Delta with Mrs Pearson i As a young man he attended school at the B. B Y U. U in the Interest interest interest in in- terest of the Mutual Improvement Association On returning he was made president of the Y M. M M. M I I. I A. A a position which he held until April 1887 when he was called on a mission to California where he labored for or two years He was active in his membership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Latter day Saints and had served for 14 years as superintendent of the Sunday Sunday Sunday Sun Sun- day School of the Meadow ward and w was s a councilor to the Bishopric Bishop Bishop- ric for 20 years He was married Jan 26 to Mary Elizabeth Labrum in the Logan Temple The family home was made at Meadow where Mr Bushnell Bushnell Bushnell Bush Bush- nell was president of the town board for several years and a member of the Millard County School Board for 4 years He Is survived by a son George L. L Bushnell Sunset Utah and a daughter Mrs Lula B. B Pearson of Delta 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren great and one sister sister sister sis sis- sis sisI I ter Mrs Eliza Stott of Meadow j The services Sunday were opened J by prayer by D. J Bennett Bennett Bennett Ben Ben- I nett and Charles Swallow lifelong friends of Mr Bushnell Musical selections were given by the choir I need Thee Every Hour and Thy Will Be Done A vocal solo That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine was sung by Ruth and Culbert Robinson and Thomas sang a duet In the Garden of Tomorrow The closing prayer was by Cleon Stott Burial was in the cemetery at Meadow under the direction of L. L N. N Nickle and sons The grave was dedicated by Bishop Roy Hoy Stott of Butte Montana |
