She is presently employed at the Dr. McGregor, who is in his 35th year as a practicing physician phy-sician in Utah graduated from the University of Utah and the University of Maryland and served his internship at the California Lutheran Hospital in 1935-36. He is past president of the Southern Utah Medical Society. In his appointment to the Cancer Can-cer Society Board, he joins a group of distinguished Utah physicians and laymen who help direct and administer the policies poli-cies of the Utah Division. They were married Friday at the Mantl L.D.S. Temple. Program and dancing was enjoyed during the evening. A very large crowd was in attendance. Our congratulations con-gratulations to the newlyweds. Get well wishes are extended to Mrs. Winona Dutson who underwent surgery at the West Millard Hospital on Monday, Dec. 21. The Deseret Rook Club held their Christmas Party Monday Mon-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Sampson. Samp-son. A very delicious ham dinner with all the trimmings was served. The program at sacrament meeting Sunday evening was put on by the Lincoln Eliason family. Some fine talks and muscial , numbers were presented. Their son, Martin, has been called to serve a mission in Sweden and departs next week. We wish him luck and best wishes. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Stevens of Fillmore spent Christmas at the home of Blaine and Mae Cropper. Also at the Cropper home during the Holidays was Roger and Gaylyn Davis and two children chil-dren of Cedar. A birthday dinner in honor of Kent Dewsnup was held Sunday at the home of Milden and Arprilla Scow. Present were: Kent and Sandra Dewsnup and children, Russell, De Ann, Mark, of Oak City. Mrs. Mollie Dewsnup and Mllden and Arprllla Scowfrom Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black spent Saturday at the Black ranch looking after the cattle. Homer and Rae Jensen and Dale and Bonnie went to Dallas, Texas to enjoy Christmas with Charles and Diane Allen and children. Matt and Louise Cropper went to Las Vegas, Nev., to spend Christmas with Marlow and Carol Cropper and Kelly and Karen. Santa made his usual Christmas Christ-mas Eve appearance at the Deseret Cultural Hall, where he visited with the children and gave each of them a sack of candy and peanuts and an Orange. The Christmas Eve Ward program was put on by the primary children and was enjoyed en-joyed by a large crowd. Jay and Jackie Webb and small daughter of Grand Juno-tlon, Juno-tlon, Colo., spent the holidays with Jay's parents, Spencer and Alice Webb. Waldo and Dora Black spent Wednesday at Prove David Hales of Philadelphia, and Stanley Hales from Provo were at home with their parents, par-ents, Bert and Lucile Hales for the holidays. Dixon Eliason had surgery on his arm at the LDS Hospital Hos-pital last Monday. He came home Thrusday. We wish him a speedy get well. Mrs. Ulala Mace of Flowell visited Thursday at Deseret with her mother, Mrs. Mollie Dewsnup. They also visited at the West Millard Hospital with Winona Dutson. At the home of Doyle and Martha Mace for the holidays were their son, Joe from Salt Lake and their daughter, Marilyn Mari-lyn from Ogden and her fiance Dennis Hartman also of Ogden. Paul Peterson of St. George was home for Christmas with his parents, Raymond andZtna Petersen. Chad and Joan Anderson and daughter of Ogden spent Christmas with parents, Ike and Phyllis Anderson. At the homeofDee and Eunice Black's for Christmas were the - newlyweds, Paula and Scott Finlinson of Salt Lake. Max and Anne Jensen and son Ken of Salt Lake spent the holidays with parents, Axel and Blanche Jensen. Laurence and Arlene Bennett spent Christmas at Cedar with Don and Ada Roesner and family. Mr. and Mrs. George Smutz of St. George enjoyed the holidays with Garold and Elaine Moody and children. Visiting at the home of J. M. and Thirza Webb Sunday were: Lee and Onlta Ivers of Midway; Vickie and Val Todd of Salt Lake; and Robert Mof-f Mof-f itt and Miss Williams of Salt Lake. Wally Western and RaeLynn and two daughtersof San Diego visited a day with parents Mr. and Mrs. Owen A; Western and other family members. They returned to San Diego where his ship is in the process pro-cess of being decommissioned. Max Smith and family of Grace, Idaho visited overnight Friday with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Owen A. Western. John and Kathy Western visited vis-ited in Deseret with parents Mr. and Mrs. Owen Western and other family members and then went to Salt Lake to visit Kathy's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Searles before returning to Ephriam. Pete and Deb Carter and son of Midvale visited over the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Western and Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Carter and other relatives and friends. CARD OF THANKS , A very heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed so many kindnesses to me during my recent hospitalization. Thanks so much for the cards, calls and visits. They enjoyed a family dinner Thursday at the home of Mr.' and Mrs. Fred Harlow (Ardith) in Murray. They visited in Kearns with Mr. and Mrs. Gale Searle and family. On Saturday evening they attended the Hockey Game at the Salt Palace with the Noel Twitch-ell's. Twitch-ell's. They also visited with Roy's aunt, Mrs. Effie Graff In Midvale, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. PaulWinward spent the week in Dayton and Clifton, Idaho, visiting their , parents and families for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crane and three children of Logan Dale, Nev., visitedwithMr.and ' Mrs. Grant Crane Saturday night, they they all went to Payson, Sunday to the home of Dr. and Ella (Crane) Porter for a family dinner together. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crane also attended the family get-together. get-together. Phil Stats (husband of Beverly Bunker Stats) was home from Vietnam for Christmas. They had an enjoyable family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bunker in Delta. Phil leaves for Vietnam again soon. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Barben and family of Marysvale, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stewart and family spent Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barben. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Barben of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Crable of Portland, Ore., both called on the telephone during the day and we all had a nice visit. The Post Office will be PH closed New Years day. COOMBS Cedar, and has filled an Eastern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is attending attend-ing Ricks College at Rexburg, Idaho. Both young people have been national high school rodeo contestants con-testants and both are members of the Ricks Rodeo Team. They are planning a Feb. 25, 1971, wedding in the Logan L. D. S. Temple. In ISllir EDDYS BARBEN Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stewari entertained at a Turkey dinner Thursday evening at their home In Delta, for Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barben, Mr. Glen Stewart and Carol Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Bob) Watson of Clayton, New Mex., spent the" week ' in Delta the 1 spent th week in Delta at the ' ' home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown. They returned re-turned to their home Sunday. All the family of Mr. and Mrs. John Adams were home for Christmas. They had an enjoyable time together. Miss Kathy Stoddard is living in Granger, Utah and working in Salt Lake. Kathy and Debbie Sto'ddard, a student at BYU, were home with thier parents, the S. O. Stoddards during the Christmas holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erick-son Erick-son had part of their family home for Christmas dinner and a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Erickson and family of Morgan; (for dinner then on to Calif, the following day.) Mr. and Mrs. Orland Ogden and family of Kaysville were down for the weekend.
