Why did the Wise men give presents to the Christ child? Why do we give presents to each other? We give presents. We like to share. Everybody likes Santa Claus to give us presents on Christmas. But what Is the true meaning of Christmas? On Christmas day a miracle happened. Christ was born. A star shown brightly over the earth. Jesus the son of God was born of Mary and Joseph and the angels rejoiced. The wise men saw the star thinning brightly. They followed follow-ed tt. There the Christ child lay in the manger. The wise men praised the child and gave him gifts. On Christmas If you give a Christmas play for your family you would probably do It with . love and joy, and your parents would be proud of you. The spirit of Chirst- mas starts by giving presents and bringing joy to others. It's better to give gifts and make people happy than to receive. Here's a story about this. There was once a young wo-jnan wo-jnan who had four kids and only three dollars to spend for Christmas. Whe she was shopping, an older lady saw that she didn't have very much money. She went up to the lady and took a ten dollar bill out of her purse and told her that she would like her to have it to buy some presents. The young woman didn's know what to do, she was so thankful. thank-ful. She just' told her that she would try to do the same for her some day. It's more blessed to give than to receive.
