Paul and Sue Ludwig and two little girls of Provo came Friday Fri-day to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Willoughby In Oasis and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Mar-tin Ludwig in Delta. They returned re-turned home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop went to Cedar City last Tuesday afternoon. They helped their son, Carlos, with his birthday project, returning ho me Saturday. Satur-day. It was really a shock to i be traveling in beautiful sun-I sun-I shine and all at once see a wall of fog coming at you. We almost felt like turning around and going back. Anyway we are horse ready for. the cloud to life and let us breath again. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly took their sister, Mandy Schneider to Salt Lake where she took a plane to Boise, Idaho, where she will visit her son. The Kelly's returned home Sunday evening and report that they hit fog this side of Eureka and it was so dense they couldn't see a car until it was right to them. They were real glad to get home safely. Derdell and Helen Memmott and girls, Merllee, Fenny, and Shelly went to Salt Lake Saturday. Satur-day. They stopped in Provo to see their son, Vincent a few minutes. They returned home Saturday evening. Cella Christensen was In Fillmore Saturday. The little son of Vaughn and Ann Marie Day Mankin was blessed, and given the name of Shaun Lee, by his father, Sunday, Sun-day, in Fast Meeting. Both of his grandmothers, Mrs. Man-kin Man-kin and Mrs. Day were there to see him get his name, Scott Rowley was home from Snow college this past weekend. week-end. Miss Becky Henrle was with him to Church Sunday. Arlyn and Mary Styler visited visit-ed their father, J. Val Styler and their brother, .Russell, and his wife, Jennie and their family fam-ily Sunday afternoon. They were on their way home from Phoenix, Ariz. They live In Bountiful. Ha Stanworth spent 3 days last week In Salt Lake visit ing her mother and her chit- dren Hex Stanworth and Chris Skeem 'were home over the weekend from school at Cedar. The Delta men kept the home crowd when they couldn't seem to hold onto the ball long enough to break the game open In their own direction. The score by quarters went: 1st quarter 10-8, 2nd quarter 23-19, 3rd quarter 33-33 with Delta finally gaining a substantial substan-tial lead in the waning moments mom-ents of the game. A team effort led by high point man, Glrk Porter on offense and a strong zone for a defense brought victory for Delta. Working hard with good results in the rebound department depart-ment were Brad Jensen and Rick Bishop. The Delta J. V.'s under Coach Merlin Christensen also beat th nucwav ,T V. RO-45 DELTA AT JUAB Coaches .Mitch Myers and Glen Partridge need to get their heads together and de velope a solution to break the Delta basketball team's 3rd quarter tie habit. The Rabbits traveled to Juab High in NephlonSaturday.Dec. 6, to catch a 68-65 victory. Like the night before the Delta boys led at the end of the first two quarters, but a fighting Juab team tied It all up 4-49 at the end of the 3rd quarter, then kept in the game until the final buzzer sounded. High point man for Delta was Bruce Curtis with Rick Bishop and Glrk Porter also in the double figures. Mr. Doyle Steele's neice, who was just . 23 years old, fell breaking her neck and cracking crack-ing the base of her skull, killing kill-ing her instantly. Her daughter, Mrs. Floral Taylor of Pocatello, Idaho Is staying with her parents for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. LaMarDewsnup and children spent Thursday at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Max Jensen and son, Ken of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Max's parents Mr. and Mrs. Axel Jensen. ROSE - just an injury which the Dr. stated is more painful than a break, of which Paul found to be the case. Parents of the missionaries report that they are enjoying their work and working hard. Elder Gary Ro bison stated that he gets to see Mr. and Mrs. Garn Moody, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Falkner, all former residents resi-dents of here. Reports of servicemen are good at the present time. They brought their infant son where he was given a name and was blessed by his father. He received the name of Jewel Ryan Moody. His grandfathers, Mr. Ferrin Lovell and Bishop Thurmon Moody and uncle Kay Christen-' sen, and great-grandfather, "Mr. Marvin Moody assisted.
