Some of the participants at the annual Utah CowBelles Hold Annual Spring Luncheon by HARRIET ELIASON Millard County was well represented repre-sented at the Utah CowBelle's Annual An-nual Spring Luncheon and state planning meet held March 14 in Spanish Fork. Harriet Eliason, Utah State CowBelle president conducted the meeting which was hosted by the Spanish Fork-Payson CowBelles with Mrs. W. A. Cornaby in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Parry (Jeanne) Taylor, recorded re-corded the meeting and presented beef hand-out sheets containing facts about production of beef and eef prices which she had prepared on the duplicator for the occasion. Mrs. M. A. Lyman, president of the local Round-up CowBelle unit, gave a report on her unit's efforts in ( writing to our Utah Congressmen and Pres. Nixon to report recommendations recom-mendations on the cattle industry. Also, she noted that when foreign beef is improted, the protein starved people of foreign countries are deprived of their own supply. Miss Utah Cattle Queen, Kathy Lyman, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. M. A. Lyman, presented a vocal solo and was accompanied by her mother. She and Louis are home now. Surely hope they can both get to feeling better soon. Visiting with their parents on Easter was Arlene Christensen and family of Holden and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Overson and boys of Salt Lake. Alpha Nielson recently returned home from Wenatchee, Wash, where she visited with Fred and Roberta Nielson Zetting and family She got acquainted with a new granddaughter while there. Mrs. Jeanne Taylor's mother, Mrs. Richard Ek-ker Ek-ker and her sister, Mrs. Patsy Hol-den, Hol-den, of Vernon, were also present. Over 50 leaders from as far north as Randolph in Rich County, and Kanab in Kane County were pres ent to plan the year's activities for their units. and baby daughter, .Tina have moved into th home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Roberts. We welcome this young couple into our community. Catherine and Aralda Jones and family are moving back to Lynndyl from Payson. It will be good o have them back with us. I know I've certainly missed them. Mr. and Mrs. Junior (Enla) Baird and children of Richfield and Dan and Linda Sutton from Salt Lake visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins over the week end. Anita Talbot and her mother and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Talbot of Magna Mag-na visited our ward Sunday. We are always happy to have the Talbot family back in town. Colleen Fowler and children of Salt Lake visited with her mother, Alpha Nielson Easter Sunday. Susan Nielson of Salt Lake visited visit-ed with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerold Nielson during the spring vacation. Donna Haycock and son, Steve and Mr. and Mrs. Dee Nielson and children of Salt Lake spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson. Judy and Butch Mills of Provo were home with Judy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nielson for Easter. Lucille Johnson had her granddaughters grand-daughters (Joan and John Newin-ski's Newin-ski's girls) with her for their spring vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Roberts and daughter, Dana of Stockton visited Shirley's mother, Hazel Sheriff last Thursday. '. Bill Tolbert and his fiancee, Jill of Salt Lake were visitors at our ward Easter program Sunday. Darlene Overson and her girl friend of Salt Lake visited over the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Overson. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Eatough and girls spent the weekend in Salt Lake visiting relatives Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson and children visited at the home of Mr .and Mrs. Keith Nielson Sunday. Janet Nielson of Blanding and Patsy Nielson of Provo were home with their parents, Mr. ?nd Mrs. Phil Nielson. We were very fortunate to have 'Jay, Rose, Thayne, Paul and Bryce of Cranstvllle and Rayma, Kent and Russell of Salt Lake with us Friday and Saturday. It's always so nice to have the kids come home. We received phone calls from Don and Lois and children and LaWrene. It was LaWreno's first Easter away from home and belive me we sure missed her. Hope the Easter Bunny found her in Logan. Sunday in Testimony meeting Carol M. Nielson made a statement state-ment that has really impressed me it's, "Today is the first day of the rest of my life." We all know yesterday is gone. Tomorrow isn't here yet. What we do today, the first day of the rest of our life is what counts. Something to think about isn't it? Roy Peters o Las Vegas stayed Sunday night with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brad-field. Brad-field. Roy is signal gang foreman for the Union Pacific and is working work-ing at Faust. Bishop Rich Finlinson was admitted ad-mitted to the Juab Hospital in Nephi. He had surgery Friday. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs. Ellen Lyman and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nielson o Oak City visited at the home of Mr .and Mrs. Rulon Dutson last Wednesday. Mrs. Lyman's home is in Blanding, but she's spent the winter in St. George doing temple work Myrtle and Vern Young and children chil-dren of Sunset spent the weekend with Myrtle's mother, Aunt Maud Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Willden of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bud McCann. Ella and Oral Nelson of Woodside, Calif, have spent the past week visiting with Ella's mother, Aunt Millie Lovell in Delta and her sisters, sis-ters, Irene Best and Margaret Mc Cann and with Oral's brother, Jack Nelson and family and sister, Mrs. Kenneth Nielson and family. Susan Weagel and son of Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and Joe and Eliabeth Foy and children of Salt Lake visited at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Rich Finlinson over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Merril Dutson and children of Fillmore spent Saturday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson. Merrill and Rulon and children spent the day riding horses and rounding up cattle, while Eva and Dahlia had a nice visit and doing the usual, preparing food for the hungry men and children. They visited in Leamington with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson on their way home. Rulon Dutson received word Saturday Sat-urday that his brother, Leonard Dutson had suffered a heart attack at-tack and was in the hospital in Salt Lake. Rulon called Sunday night and Leonard's condition was somewhat improved. Hope he continues con-tinues to get better soon. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Memmott and children of Spanish Fork visited visit-ed in Leamington at the home of Margaret Bradfieeld and with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield. Harold has very poor health. He is unable to walk alone and spends most of his time in a wheel chair. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Dutson and children of Provo visited with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson. They also went to the sand hills. Saturday many people went to the sand hills. It seems like that 5s the Easter tradition.
