MISS SYDNEY Plan January 2nd Mr. and Mrs. Owen S. Gardner of Delta, announce the engagement engage-ment and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sydney, to Mr. John C Nielson. Mr. Nielson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross P. Nielson of Sunnyside, Utah. The engaged pair will be married January 2, 1970 at Delta Third Ward followed by a reception recep-tion between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. Miss Gardner is a graduate of Delta High and attended beauty college at Utah Technical College, Col-lege, Salt Lake City. Mr. Nielson is a graduate of a Cedaredge, Colorado high school and is now a student at the University of Utah. They will make their home in Dragerton, Utah. Everyone is invited to the reception. Garrison News BLANCHE RICHARDSON Mr. Fred Baker accompanied Mr. Robert Vaughn to Washington, D. C. Sunday and they spent three days there concerning the Mount Wheeler power station in this and nearby areas. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gonder, Mir. and Mrs. Vivian Dearden and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Whitlock were all in attendance at the Cattlemen's International In-ternational Expo in Las Vegas While there they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dearden and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edgar who were guests of the Lee Deardens. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bell were Ely visitors one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler were in Milford and Cedar area on Thursday and Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Rober Eames were in Ely Thursday. Our sympathy goes out to the family and relatives of Nell Rowley. Row-ley. We learned of her passing Friday night. Funeral services were held Monday at 11:00 a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Forsythe attended a wedding in Delta Saturday Satur-day night Mr. and Mrs. Bud Richardson visitied with Mr. and Mrs. Dee Heckethorn and Mr. anu Mrs. Loren Bradley Saturday evening, also, visited with Edith Rowley She is on the improve. Mrs. Gene Heckethorn had the misfortune of getting her arm broken last Wednesday night. She happened to be in the path of a mad cow being unloaded out of the truck. Laurence Feilding was killed in a one car roll over Saturday night. Mrs. Mollie Gonder was accom panied to Delta Saturday, morning by Daisy Gonder and Frona Huntington Hunt-ington and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Gonder and daughter Rae Ann arrived in Garrison Gar-rison Thursday morning to spend the Christmas Holidays. White Pine Co. Sheriff Archie Robison was in Garrison and vicinity vicin-ity with Deputy Bud Richardson checking on highway signs and posts being uprooted. Mr. and Mrs. Rutsy Gledhill of Ely, Nev. visited with his father, Bert Gledhill Sunday afternoon. Sinclair of Salt Lake City announces the marriage mar-riage of her daughter, Vicki Sinclair, Sin-clair, to Mr. Mark Johnson, son of Mrs. Ray Johnson of Leamington. Leam-ington. The couple was married Dec. 19, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and were honored at a reception in Salt Lake City. Miss Sinclair is a graduate of Brigham Young University and is currently employed by the Alpine School District. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Delta High and has served an LDS mission in Texas. THE CHRONICLE STAFF- Bob, 2-Month Breast Cancer Program A two-month program to educate edu-cate Utah women about breast cancer will be emphasized by the West Millard County Unit of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. W. C. Cole, County Unit Chairman, said special programs will be held for clubs, service groups and other women's organizations organi-zations in the county. Volunteers will distribute pamp-lets, pamp-lets, posters and other educational materials to help women recognize the warning signals of breast cancer can-cer and urge them to get checkups.
