Jacobson and son, Orland visited from Salt Lake and Ogden Saturday and Sunday. Eddie was home to play for the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Ross on Saturday evening. Mr. Lynn Finlinson reported his mission at Sacrament meeting. He recently returned after filling a mission in Ohio. She brot them home Sunday to attend Lynn's report. They returned with Noreene to visit a little longer and enjoy Thanksgiving with the Ship-leys. Ship-leys. Miss Nola Nielson of Tooele visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Nielson the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Talbot are rejoicing over another grandchild. The little newcomer is the child of Mr. and Mis. Arnold Talbot of Draper who will be here for Thanks giving to get acquainted with the grandparents. Congratulations to Arnold and Leslie. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Finlinson received re-ceived word that Mr. and Mrs. Dennis (Sylvia) Broderick are mov-ig mov-ig to Provo where they will attend school. Dennis has been released from the Navy. Misses Rebecca Barlow and Lou Parkinson who are attending school at the BYU visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Finlinson Sunday afternoon. An award was given to two members of the ward who submit ted the name "Echos of Sages and Cedar" for the new book that is being printed at the present time In memory of the centenniel year of the town of Oak City. It is the history and happenings of the town and ward from the beginning to the present time. Mrs. Lemira Dutson and Miss Gwen Christensen each received five dollars toward the purchase of a book as they both submitted the same title. Congratulations to both of you. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dutson of Salt Lake were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Dutson over the week end and attended the Ross reception recep-tion on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Bailey and Mrs. Vetris Hanson of Salt Lake visited at the home of Macel Anderson An-derson Sunday afternoon and were dinner guests of Mrs Jeanette Cox. Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Hanson are sisters of Mrs. Anderson and brot her home. They had all spent Sat urday at Richfield where they had a family get together for a pre season Thanksgiving dinner at the home of another sister, Mr. and Mrs. A. Bryant Young. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lovell en joyed a visit from their son, Brent and wife, LoRen and children, Lisa Russell and Jeremy, who visited a few days from Pleasanton, Calif. Another son, David and wife, Rosemary Rose-mary and little son, Leland visited from Cedar City. Mrs. Aretta Peterson had her son Walter visit Sunday afternoon. She returned to Salt Lake with him to visit and to celebrate the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holiday. Home to visit their parents, Le Roy Andersons for the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Monan Lovell of Uinta, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Call, Plain City; Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Black, Ogden; and on Sunday the Ronald Wright family visited also. Visiting at the Reed Lovell and LeRoy Anderson homes were Mr. and Mrs. Clisbee Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Brent Lovell, also, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Vawdrey. At the Marion Anderson home visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins of Lynndyl, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wilkins of Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Sutton of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Baird of Fichfield and Mrs. Junior Baird of Richfield and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olsen of Gunnison. - y jz- ) i I VjL j MISS CHRISTINE K. Present were Ella Black, Zola Wright, Ora Gardner, Lyle Moody, Thelma Black, Donna Sorenson, Vivian Holman, Dorothy Gardner, Thelma Seegmiller. Couple Honored At Heception A wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ross was held Nov. 22, 1DC9 at Oak City. The new Mrs. Ross is the former Carol Anderson. They stood before a white backdrop back-drop draped with pink. Greeting guests with the newly-wed newly-wed couple were their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ross. The bride was lovely in her floor-length floor-length gown of satin and lace. Christine Anderson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids Brides-maids were Judy, Ellen an DeAnne Anderson, sisters , Gwen Shurtz. At the guest book was Carolyn Nickle. Filling best man duties was Daryl Ross, brother of the groom. Daryl Ross acted as master of ceremonies for the program. Program Pro-gram numbers included a song "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" by the bride's mother and Lyman Finlinson; Fin-linson; "I Said My Pajamas" by Judy and Ellen Anderson; reading by Roberta Dutson; "More" by Trudy Finlinson. The bride and groom made a few remarks after which the bridal waltz danced. The bridal song" Melody of Love" was sung by Mrs. Anderson, Afton Dutson and Dorothy Atkinson. Our hearts are heavy again this week for the passing of one of our ward members, Mrs. Lillian Kill-pack Kill-pack and our love and sympathy are with Marion and his family at this time. i Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barben and Russell Stewart traveled to Marys-vale Marys-vale Friday evening to attend the wedding reception of Miss Kathy Henrie, a sister-in-law to Keith Barben. Mr. and Mrs. Lolan Morrill and family of Salt Lake were Delta visitors Sunday. Mrs. Melvin Reams and daughter daugh-ter Christine, and Mrs. Elvira Senior Sen-ior and son, Steven of Salt Lake visited with Mr. and Mrs. John A. Adams and family Sunday. Mrs. Reams and Mrs. Senior are sisters of Verdella Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Miller visited two days at the home of his brother, broth-er, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller last week. They were on their way to Mesa, Arizona to spend the winter. Sunday evening the program was given by the Elders Quorum Talks were given by Karnell Parry, Robert Steele, Ferrin Lovell and Mr. Passey. They were giving suggestions sug-gestions and instructions on the church stressed two years supply of food and commodities. Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Black and six children and Carol Barnes, girl friend of Danny Black, spent the weekend visiting at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. June Black. They attended a wedding reception in Oak City while here. Misses Merrl Lee and Crystal Clark of Albequerque, N. M. were visitors at the Ferrin Lovell home this weekend. Miss Peggy Lovll and Miss Teresa Ter-esa Buchanan, students at BYU, visited with Peggy's family, Mr. and Mrs. Ferrin Lovell over the weekend.
