Show Millard County Chronicle D.H.S. From the Halls of D.H.S.- Principal Fowlos The Delta High School football team has completed an extremely successful footbnll season. They have attained this success as a team and as individuals. Several years ago an educator said, "Football provides the opportunity oppor-tunity for self-sacrifice, for obedience, obedi-ence, for discipline and for putting loyalty ahead of personal laurels." These character-building traits are of vital Importance in a person's formative years. Football teaches young men to rise to attain heights they thought were impossible. It also teaches them the grand lesson, to give and take, to hide pain with a grin, to smother the bitterness of defeat and to accept the joy of victory. We have many fine young men in our school, those who participate in athletics and those who contribute con-tribute to our school in other ways. We would hope that these young men carry their drive for success into the clossroom and Into other activities they pursue-to be champs off as well as on the field.
