Ethelyn's baby, was ill and spent two days in the hospital, but the baby is better! now. I Mrs. LaVina Bunker spent five, days last week traveling into Los Angeles, Calif, and in Phoenix,; Ariz, where she spent three days. visiting with her sister, I.alovi Harris. She made the trip with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Merve (Mar lene) Williams of Salt Lake. Mr. !nd Mrs. S. 0. Stoddard spent some time in Chino, Calif., on business busi-ness and also visited with Mrs. Lily Wallace Gibson in Colton, where they spent four days on busi ness. Marilyn Stoddard and her daughters, daugh-ters, Patricia and Debbie spent Saturday in Provo. Kathy Stoddard a student at USU, Logan, and Steve Stoddard, a student at CSU, Cedar, are home with their parents for the Christmas hoildays. The Ann Elizabeth Melville Camp of DUP annual Christmas party was held at the home of Louisa M. Lyman, Friday, Dec. 15th. A very delicious dinner was served by the officers to 17 members. Christmas gifts were exchanged. The Daughters attending were: Lemira Bishop, Vera Hilton, Lucille Kimber, Fontella Bishop, Helen Warner Olive Barney, Mary Bassett, Romania Porter, Michelle Bassett, Thelma Black, Leila Maxfield, Verde. Ver-de. la Adams, Norma Adams, Zolda Ogden Verm Gardner, Louisa M. Lyman, Etta Bishop. The l yric Lore Club held a very special Christmas party at the M. K. Bird Center Dec. 14. Hostesses were Mrs. Cora Harris, Mrs. Mar-,1orie Mar-,1orie Gardner and Mrs. Harriet Eliason. The room was very beauti fully decorated in Christmas theme and a beautiful tiee held under its branches, .many gifts which ere exchanged by members: Mr. and Mrs. June Black, Mr. and Mrs. Vert Birney. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gardner, Gar-dner, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skidmore, Mr. end Mrs. Eldro Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Win. S. Bassett, Mr. and Mrs Oliver Tripp, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Eliason, Mr and Mrs. Ted Harris. A very delicious dinner was served to 24 guests. Santa made a personal appearance appear-ance during the party, sharing many kinds of home made candy and popcorn with his friends. Mrs. Verdella Adams spent two days in Salt Lake last week. Miss Carol Adams is home for the holidays from her schooling at BYU. We apreciate all the nice snow we are getting and will enjoy a white Christmas this year. Merry Christmas to every one. The big story now is snow and cold and it isn't officially winter until the 21st of Dec. Edgar Taylor fell and broke his other hip last Sunday and is seriously ser-iously ill in a Phoenix, Ariz, hospital. hos-pital. He broke a hip and was in a Salt Lake hospital a few years ago and now this. We hope and pray he can battle this misfortune. It is nice that Margaret got moved down to a warmer climate and has three of her children living there and they can be a big help at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Young entertained enter-tained at an anniversary dinner for Sid and Cecilia Young Thursday The Hal Young family were here also. Sid has been married five years and has two children. Congra tulations on such a fine beginning kids. I want to thank Clark and Reva Bliss for putting our Abraham sign back up on the cross roads of the Sutherland road. We are proud of that little sign made by our 4-H club quite a few years ago. Please be careful of it. Walter and Lola Stoneking spent the evening with Clark and Reva Bliss Thursday and Reva attended the Christmas party at the Delta City Cafe Friday. It was the Mc-Cullough Mc-Cullough Camp's annual party. John and Dorothy Price of Au burn, Calif., visited a couple of days with the Sherman Tolberts this week. They are friends of Gladys' sister, Eleanor, who lives in Auburn also. We were hapoy to hear of Boyd and Beatrice Schena's new baby boy born last week in the West Millard Hospital. Melvin Mitchell has been taken to the University hospital in Salt Lake. His wife, Frances went up with him. We hope he is soon better. Rodney Fullmer is home now un til the first of the year. He goes to the Trade Tech in Provo. We were happy to have Joseph Fullmer and Mrs. Bertha Tucker visit us Sunday night. John and Dina Halsey Fullmer and two bovs of Clearfield were here and with the Woodrow Hal-sevs Hal-sevs over the weekend. Miss Jill Johnson is home for the holidays with her parents, the Gar land Johnsons from her school in Cedar. Miss Geneil Fullmer has spent a week in Lns Vegas and attended the wedding of Andy Brush. She returned to her work at TODD, Tooele Monday. Mrs. Jean Fullmer Anderson s husband, Mike, of Grantsville has been wounded for the 2nd time in action in Viet Nam. As of yet we have no details. He was patched ML Cheer if Qreetinp to cur frienls WALKER'S SHOE REPAIR LYNNDYL LAURA BRADFIELD Mr. and Mrs. Dean Eatough and girls went to Salt Lake Friday and visited relatives. They returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Dutson and family went to Salt Lake Saturday and visited relatives. Santa Claus made a surprize visit to Lynndyl and Leamington last week. I think he visited every home where there were children and to some of the older people also. He told all the children if they would be good he'd be back Christmas Eve. So everyone is trying try-ing their darndest to be good. Mr. and Mrs. Araida Jones and The Primary officers and teach-1 rrs entertained their husbands j Wednesday night with a hot chic- ken supper and all the trimmings, alter which a program was given by the husbands. The hall was decorated de-corated -with Christmas decorations. Tuesday the Relief Society had their work day meeting. The time was spent making feather poin-settis. poin-settis. Each member brought their favorite recipe for Christmas holidays holi-days nd plate of each to sample. sam-ple. The table was loaded with goodies, candies, pop corn, cakes and cookies. Fifteen ladies attended atten-ded and were served holiday punch by the officers. The open house for Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Greene was pretty good considering con-sidering the weather. Many lovely gifts were given for their new home, although thov couldn't come from Idaho, they thank every one gor their gifts. Choral Clark is home from the hospital and we hope she will soon be well and strong again. children of Pavson visited in Lynndyl Lynn-dyl last week. Seemed so good to see them. They are really missed in our community. They moved from here last Sept. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Overson went to Salt Lake to attend funeral ser- i vices for an aunt, Grace Grygla1 Kirkpatrick, 83 years of age. They i add much to our town. The program in Sacrament meet-1 ing Sunday night was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ashby. They both give interesting talks. Their daughter, Nancy sang a solo ac- companicd by Connie Lovell. Other ( visitors were Jean Ashby and Louise Lou-ise Chuch all of Delta. The ward Christmas party is Sat-, urday at 7:00 p.m. A good program : is planned and Santa will make his annual visit and pass out candy can-dy nnd nuts to everyone. I wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and may the blessings bless-ings of the Lord be with us all. Let's remember the true meaning of Christmas and have love in our hearts for one another. Mr. and Mrs. Frclen Shurtz made a trip Monday to Provo to visit their mother, Malinda Spencer. Little Malinda Shurtz will have to wear her cast for two more months. We hope she will soon be improving. The college students are home for th.e holidays and we are glad to welcome them. Mr. and Mrs. Art Hill made a trip to Salt Lake for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bud West returning Sunday night. Bishop and Mrs. Roy Losee and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Losee made a trip to Salt Lake Saturday. Sunday night the program was given by the teacher or the Scnii- , nary, Mr. Winward. Talks were given by Chad Anderson and Mr. ' Winward, a song by Dean Moody j accompanied by Patrice Bishop. A good crowd attended. The chickenpox have been going around for a few weeks. We hope they leave by the holidays. We wish everyone a "Merry Christmas" and a happy and prosperous pros-perous new year.
