"Any student receiving a straight A card or an average of 8 points shall make the high honor roll, pro vided he is carrying at least four units of work." There are many positive values that come from having an honor roll, one value being that it recognizes recog-nizes tha student who Is excelling in academic work and is willing to pay the price in terms of attitude and willingness to put in hours of extra study for a high grade. We fel, however, that the grade is a j means to an end because our main purpose in education should be working and learning to the best of our individual abilities and pre paring ourselves for the future. Between 15 and 20 of our Senior students maintained this high scholastic achievement which is certainly a credit to them. Many of them do this while participating in other activities. Faculty members in charge of the honor roll are Miss Ruth Han- iFlex-OGlass )Glass-0'Net VyrOGlass Screen-Glass rjtTl S. eeU ojj tUe EDGAR LOVELL Edgar, this week's teen, is a fun-loving fun-loving amiable son of Burton and Lorna Lovell of Oak City.
