A number of her friends and relatives visited her Sunday. Happy birthday to Jay Fullmer, June 25th. Tracy and Sandra Fullmer Full-mer and baby were here over the weekend. They also visited with Doyle Pace and Gary. Mr. Tom Anderson of St. George visited his fiancee Miss Wanda U'e Tolbert over the weekend. They will be married July 1st. Mrs. Emily Young had the misfortune mis-fortune of breaking her arm this week. She has it in a cast. Mrs. June Reid was hostess to the Jolly Stitchers Club Thursday. Clifferd Petersen went to Salt Lake Thursday to help Arnold with the well driver a while. He took little Jannie home to her mother Charlene. She had been here with Grandma Erma for a couple weeks. You ought to see how the kids flock to the Bookmobile each time They are having a good summer of reading. The Dave Poulsen family, Dave, Kate and the four Irishmen (as we call them) Mike, Kerr, Rose and Bill visited us Sunday and also with the Arch Poulsens in Delta. Mike had been at Poulsens for a week. We visited the Donald Hogans In Tahvant Sunday evening. Donald hasn't improved too much. He ha encephalitis last December. Sherman and Gladys Tolbert's (laughter Dorothy and husband and little girl Kelli were here over the weekend to see the rodoe in Des-eret. Des-eret. Mr. Harold (Jack) Beihler is at present visiting with Ed and Margaret Mar-garet Taylor. Gladys and Wanda Lee drove to Salt Lake City Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Sherril Tolbert and little son of Tempo, Ariz, spent a 10-riay vacation with parents Floyd and Cleone Tolbert. While here they all visited the I.avoy Tolbert fumily at Torrey. Three of Lavoy's lour little boys came back with them to go to the rodeo and visit grandparents. Their mother came after them Sunday. OASIS RUBY SKEEM Mr. and Mrs. Reed Skeem and daughter of Grantsville were home over the weekend. Mrs. Telia Strang of Salt Lake spent five days with her brothers and families, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley and Mr. and Mrs. Fon Haw-ley. Haw-ley. Mrs. Hilda Gillen is spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Deon Gillen. Gil-len. Mrs. Bill Wadsworth of Salt Lake went home after spending a week with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rolund Cahoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Willoughby of Colorado and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ludwig of.Provo were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Willoughby for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Sumsion of Ogden were here last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stanworth. Was sorry to hear that Ronald Peterson sustained a broken foot at the fair grounds Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Burdett Webster of Cedar City spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Skeem and attended at-tended the rodeo. They ate dinner with their sister, Mrs. Cassie Johnson. John-son. Cassie Johnson and Ella Christ-ensen Christ-ensen visited in Provo. Nancy Allen and boy friend, Gale Heat, spent a night with Coleen Gillen. Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Mace of Salt Lake visited Tuesday with Marlow's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup. Attending a birthday party Tues day at Richfield for Mrs. Augusta Meteer was Mrs. Thirza Webb of Deseret and Mrs. Nona Chesley, Mrs. Norma Pearson and Mrs. Lulu Pearson of Delta. Mrs. Meteer is a sister to the late Ester Chesley. Mr. George Wood and daughter Yvonne and children of Las Vegas visited Tuesday at the home of Mil den and Arprilla Scow. Mr. Wood is Mildtn's uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Peterson vi sited from Monday until Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stubbert at East Ely, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Irish Anderson and son Chad were in Provo on Thursday. Thurs-day. Marlow and Carol Cropper and son Kelly and daughter Karen of &s Vegas spent the past week vi siting with Marlow's parents, Matt and Louise Cropper. Marlow was a contestant at the rodeo in Lehi and at Days of the Old West in Deseret A baby girl arrived June 23rd at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake. She is the daughter of Lincoln and Cleo Eliason. Congratulations. Leaving Saturday on a "James Tour which will take them into Canada, Seattle, Montana and several sev-eral other places of interest were Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Allred of Deseret Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris of Hinckley and Mr. and Mrs. George Barton of Midvale. They will be gone about fifteen days. Attending the Dewsnup Reunion which was held at the Rotary Park in Provo Canyon on Saturday was Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup and Winona Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Fairchild from Idaho are spending a few days at Deseret visiting with relatives and friends and looking after Mrs. Fair child's interests here. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Croft and children Gary and Linda of Las Ve gas spent the weekend at the home of Donald's mother, Mrs. Evva Croft. Our sympathy goes out to the family of Mrs. Carrie Clark. Mrs Clark passed away after an extend ed illness. Funerl services were held in Delta Saturday and burial was in Spring City, Utah. Her dau ghter Mrs. Claylon (Denise) Pal mer and family live at Deseret. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ver don Davis over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Workman and children of Layton and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis and children of Grantsville. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Cahoon and children of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting with relatives. Norman used to live in Deseret. He is the son of the late Elmer Cahoon and Mrs. Josephine Cahoon of Salt Lake City. Sheldon and Helen Cluixtensen and sons of Salt Lake were at the Lome of Sheldon's mother, Mrs. Ed na Christensen. I understand they did some boat riding on the reservoir reser-voir while here. They have them a beautiful big boat. Robert Torrens, Jr. and boy friend of Salt Lake came down for a few days to help Robert's father put up some hay. At the h o m e of Mr. and Mrs Faun Western for the weekend were their sons, Douglas of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Ray West ern and sons of Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Gotten of Salt Lake spent Saturday and Sunday visiting at the homes of Mrs. Mary Black and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lar- sen. Mr. and Mrs. Catl Webb had Judy's mother, Mrs. Jensen of Salt Lake with them for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hedges of Page, Ariz, were at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Cropper for a few days. Lake were here or several days visiting with their brothers and families, fa-milies, the Lincoln, Cuinan and Blaine Cropper families. Darrel and Alice Gaye Scow of Salt Iake and Mr. Clinton Scow of Lund, Nevada were at the homo of Milden and Arpril.a Scow over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Cf.rold Moody and son and Mrs. Josie Moody spent Sunday in Ely visiting with Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson has been quite ill. She is a sister of Josie's. We wish her a speedy recovery. Visiting Sa.urday and Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hales were their son David and their daughter llawlene from BYU and with them was Mrs. Christine1 Hi t inann of Gnpplingen, a lady David me: while he was serving a mission in Germany. Mis. Hermann is spending several weeks in the U.S. She is very active in the LDS Church in Germany. She has served as Relief Society Pres. and also sev eral other church positions. Miss Betty Reese of Heber was also at the Hale's home. She is a roommate room-mate of Rawlene. A very outstanding program was presented at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening by the Doyle Mace family. A large crowd was in attendance. at-tendance. Milden Scow spent Monday, Tues day and Wednesday in Calif. He accompanied Noel Black of Delta. Millard County Fair and Days of the Old West were really a big sue cess this year. Everyone who was responsible in any way for its sue cess we say "Thank You" for a job well done. There was a large crowd of people in town and that always helps a celebration. The pa rade on Saturday was really nice. There were some very beautiful floats and a lot of work was put forth for the parade. There were too many people in town visiting with relatives and friends that I cannot mention them all so we will just have to say that we were glad to see them all and hope that they enjoyed themselves so much this year that they will be anxiously a-waiting a-waiting to return next year to the Days of the Old West Rodeo and Millard County Fair. Mrs. LaPreal Justensen of Magna spent Sunday and Monday visiting with her mother, Mrs. Myrle Bennett. Ben-nett. LaPreal brot her son Kevin and his boy friend Corry down for a visit with their grandmother. LEAMINGTON WANDA NIELSON Mr. and Mrs. Will Loveil and girls of Tooele were down, Sunday afternoon visiting Bud and Margaret Mar-garet McCann and Deaun and mother, Millie Loveil. They took Dcaun home with them for a week or so and left their daughter, Vesta Ves-ta Marie with Margaret, for a vara va-ra ion. Mr. and Mrs. George Evans from Payson and Mrs. Lydia Evans of Delta visited Saturday with Bud, Margaret and Deaun McCann and Mrs. Millie Loveil. Mrs. Hattie Anderson and Lucille Overson spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day in Provo and Salt Lake visiting visit-ing with Kay and Millie Anderson and family, then on to Salt Lake and saw Lee Grygla, who is staying stay-ing with brother, Jay and family. Ijee is feeling much better. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Harder and Deana went to Maxican Hat, last Saturday, taking Arleno Goodman home for the summer. They returned return-ed home Sunday. Claudine and Thelma Nielson went to Salt Lake Monday morning morn-ing to see Bill, who is in the Vet erans Hospital; also, Wallace. Thel ma is staying with her mother for a few days. Inez rode back with them. Norma Nielson and girls, Julie and Lorrie Sue went to Aberdeen, Idaho Monday morning to visit her parents. Visiting at the Walker Finlinson home over the weekend was Ros-ie's Ros-ie's sister, Ruth and daughter, Pam from Calif.; two brothers, Donald and Frank and families; also, Mary Jo stopped Friday night on her way to Salt Lake with a friend, and a- Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Erickson spent Friday at the doctor's office. Bertrice now has the cast off her back and arm following their car accident two months ago. She reports re-ports the dr. saying she was doing just fine. It will just take time for her to get where she feels as good as new again. Eldon left Monday to report back to work on the rail road. Mr. and Mrs. Van Warnick, Deb-ra Deb-ra Beckwith and Betty Rae Wright attended the Governor's Ball at USU Saturday evening. Jay Warnick Warn-ick and Butch Mills have been attending at-tending Boys State. gain on their way back to Cedar City, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Bevan and girls were in Salt Lake last week for a short vacation. They visited Lagoon La-goon and other places of interest. Mr. and Mi.s. Randall Bradfield were in Salt Lake visiting with son. Dee, Shirley and boys last week. Mr. and Mrs. Kay (Nila Jean) Stone and children visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson and family, Friday and Saturday. I I Saturday afternoon Elaine's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Doris Hare and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel Patton and five children of Kamas, came and stayed stay-ed over until Sunday aflernoon. Mrs. Nan Nielson and children were in Nephi last Sunday and Monday visiting with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Christensen. Many folks from here enjoyed the parade and rodeo in Deseret last weekend. A little early this, year, but I believe it is a better time.
