Hattie has not been feeling so well lately, and is staying in Provo with Ray and Millie. Mrs. Richard (Norma) Nielson underwent surgery in Payson last Friday morning. Sunday she was taken to the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake for further examination. Hope she feels better soon. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ralphs from Idaho, are staying with the fam ily while Dick is in Salt Lake with Norma. Phil Lovell was in Cedar City over the weekend to spend a few days with his friends down there. He will leave next week for the mission home in Salt Lake. Congratulations Con-gratulations to deserving young man. Max Nielson spent four days last week helping his dad, Fred, with some farm work and also some of his own. His wife, Christine and children stayed with her parents in Nephi. Marlin Nielson and two children spent Saturday here visiting with us. Also, Bill and Claudine Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Bud McCann went to a funeral for a cousin of Bud's in Salt Lake, last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield were in Fairview visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hanson and family; fam-ily; also, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Bradfield, Brad-field, who were down from Murray. Elder Eddie Bradfield will report his mission Sunday, April 17, in the Leamington Ward Chapel. He has just recently returned from a mission mis-sion in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Gwen) Allen of Mapleton visited Sunday, with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nielson. Gwen and Francell are sisters. School kids home over the week end were Owen Nielson, Reese John son and a cousin from Kamas, No-la No-la Johnson and girl friend, Kathy Nielson from BYU, and Glen Lee Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Welby Lovell have been taking care of their two grandchildren for a few days, while Tenry was teaching school for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brady of American Fork visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nielson. The Gold and Green Ball was held in Leamington last Saturday evening. The theme was "April Showers." The hall was decorated of Nephi, W. H. Johnson, Lorin and Delia Crowther of Fountain Green, and Margaret Overson of Kearns, visit hor Wednesday. The younger girls in town did a dance. Wish more people would come out, as it's kind of discouraging to put so much work on something and have such few people attend. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rawlinson and children from Chanute Air Force Base in Chicago, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Welby Fnlinson and also Neil's parents in Provo. Neil is also here for conference. Spring, I think, is the nicest timj of the year after the drab, cold winter, but it has its faults. Every spring there are drownings of tiny children in irrigation ditches; tractors trac-tors tipping over with young, in-experenced in-experenced boys and girls; horses and bulls hurting and trampling folks. I think farming is the most dangerous occupation there is, so, please be extra watchful with the small fry.
