Some 150 guests, including five maternal generations, were present for a festive fes-tive reception honoring Mr. and !!-s. I'rnest Jackson of Baldwin Park on the occasion of their golden gold-en wedding anniversary. Traditional white and goid decorations dec-orations enhanced a multi-tiered cake for the elegant fete hosted by the thonoree's daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cole, at their Baldwin Park home. Among those toasting the Jack-snns Jack-snns were their six children and their respective spouces, Messrs. and Mmes. Eddie Jackson of Los Angoles, Bill Borden of Covina, Fred Smith of San Mateo, Ray Jack son of West Covina and Mrs. Ber-nice Ber-nice Nicol of Glendora plus twenty grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Also on hand to felicitate the celebrants who were married in FiLmore, Utah in April of 1915, was Mrs. Jackson's mother, Mrs. Rose Anderson of Baldwin Park. Annette Moody Engaged to Kay Christensen Mr. and Mrs. J. The future bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin D. Christensen, Christen-sen, a.so of Delta. The couple plan an early fall wedding in the Salt Lake LD3 Temple. Miss Moody has been attending Brigham Young University where she ha? been active in the Program Bureau. Mr. Christensen, who has also attended at-tended Brigham Young University, recently returned from the LDS Scottish Mission. Both plan to attend at-tend college after their marriage. WESTERN I The Rookettes met Monday night at the home of Mavis Hardy. The Neilson family reunion will be heid again this year at the fire place. This will be the brothers and sisters and families of Mrs. Evelyn Morris. It will be held on the 19th of June. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hardy and Sharilyn and Bobby went to Cedai City to the graduation exercises of Mrs. Sharon Meinhardt. Sharilyn stayed two days in Cedar. Sharon is now visiting her parents here. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hardy's daughter, dau-ghter, Mary was "Miss Iowa" for the Miss USA contest. They live in Souix City. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Manis went to Cascade Locks, Oregon Friday. They went especially to baptize Walter's parents members of the church. They returned home Monday. Mon-day. THE TALENTED Esplin sisters, children of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Esplin of Frovo, who have spent four years in Hawaii, presented a delightful program to a large group of ladies attending the closing luncheon of the West MiV-lard MiV-lard Fine Arts Guild. Demonstrations of Samoan, Ta-hitian, Ta-hitian, Maori and Hawaiian dances were ably given by the girls. Their brother, Kimo, pnd cousin Paula Peterson also assisted assist-ed the girls in their entertain ment. The luncheon was catered by Hatch's City Cafe at the Delta First Ward. Favors decorating the tables were made by Eleanor Murray and Hazel Walker and flowers were arranged by Verna Shepherd and Louise Allen. Hazel Walker conducted the meeting and reviewed the highlights high-lights of the club year. One of the high'ights mentioned was the honor the club had to enter a painting by Laura Lyman in the Art Galaxy exhibit at the Spring-ville Spring-ville Art Gallery. She qualified to enter by being a member of a Federated Women's Club. A gift was presented to Hazel Walker by her officers in appreciation appreci-ation for her leadership in the past year. The gavel was presented pre-sented to president-elect Evadene Moody and the meeting was adjourned ad-journed until next October. From right to left are Claudia, Linda, Jill, Robin, Judy and Mary. Stevens Co. is one of 17 intermountain Philco appliance appli-ance dealers to who will fly to Puerto Rico June 11 for the introduction intro-duction of the company's 1966 product pro-duct line and a five-day, all-expense island holiday. Mrs. Bishop will accompany Bill on the trip. During the month of June, more than 2500 Philco dealers and distributors dis-tributors will convene on the Caribbean Carib-bean Island in groups of 300-400. The group, when not in session, will have the opportunity to participate parti-cipate in deep sea fishing, scuba diving, beach parties and tours of the U. S. territory.
