Show LAURA BRADFIELD Wasn't the wind terrible, Saturday. Satur-day. I believe Lynndyl is the "dust bowl" of Utah, and that we (Lawrence (Law-rence Bradfields) live in the center cen-ter of the bowl. It wasn't quite as bad as long as we could look outside out-side and see the fence posts, and our car in the drive way; but when it got to the point we couldn't see across the room, we decided to leave town and find some place where the dust wasn't blowing. Commissioner Howard Nielson once offered us $50.00 if we'd leave town but it was so dusty, we couldn't find his house weren't you glad, Howard. Well we headed head-ed for Leamington. It was real dusty there, so we went to Nephi; still blowing and lots of dust. We traveled South, and before we got to Levan, we thought sure we were back in Lynndyl. The dust and tumble weeds came at us like stampeding cattle, hitting the car windshield and front. Don LaWrene really enjoyed it. Every few miles cars would have to pull off to the side of the road and remove the tumble weeds from in front and underneath their cars. Well, when we got to Centerfield the wind was still blowing, but no dust, so we visited there with my sister, Lilace Christensen and had an enjoyable time. When the wind died down we decided we just as well go on "back home. We stopped in Levan and saw Loraine Stevenson. It seemed so good to talk to her a-gain. a-gain. By then it was raining, and by the time we got to Nephi it was snowing, and was like that until we; got almost home; Lynndyl was dry and dusty although the wind had stopped blowing. Our lawn is completely buried; now we don't have to go to the sand hills, we have our own in our front yard.
