ROBERT HARRIS GREETED FRIENDS at the reception in Deseret Stake House after, their marriage June 28, in the Manti L. D. S. Temple. The bride is the former Iris Jeannine Holman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Holman ,of Delta Mr. Harris is a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Harris, of Delta, For her wedding and reception the bride was lovely In a gown of white embroidered nylon and chantilly lace over satin, waltz length. The fitted bodice was but toned from the tiny collar to the waist, where a large satin bow with streamers hung over rows of tiny nylon tulle ruffles which ad orned the back of the bouffant skirt. Attendants to the bride were Mrs. Wally Beth Bishop, matron of honor, Mrs. Connie Theobald, Mrs. Bonnie Vest, and Mrs. Lois Harris. Flower girls were Althea Holman and April Dawson. Merrill Nielson stood as best man for Mr. Harris. Receiving with the young couple and bridal party were their par ents, and the bride's grandmother, Mrs. E. M. Keppler, of Butte, Montana. Miss Raelene Wood was in charge of the guest book, and Connie Con-nie Baker gave out the thank you notes. Evelyn Skeem, Ethel Ste wart and Meredith Anderson presided pre-sided in the gift room. In charge of serving were Mrs. Margaret Callister, Mrs. Aulene Jeffery, Mrs. Hannah Larson, and Mrs. Manilla Moulton, assisted by Charlotte Taylor, Peggy Skidmore, Sandra Sanderson , and Barbara Steele. Marcella Ross and Genieve Farnsworth cut the cake. Joe Bishop was master of ceremonies cere-monies for the program. Neil For-ster For-ster sang, "I Believe," and Althea and Kim Holman played a piano duet. Mrs. Connie Theobald gave a reading, and Mrs. Bonnie Vest sang, "Walk Hand in Hand with Me." April and Jeffy Dawson danced dan-ced two tap dances. Mr. and Mrs. Harris are now making ma-king a home in Delta, where Mrs. Harris has resumed her duties at the bank, and Mr. Harris is employed em-ployed until he enters the service this fall. OASIS taVwia Bishop Sunday, Peter H. Peterson was taken to the Salt Lake Veterans' hospital in the ambulance. His wife Inga, and daughters Drue Roberts and Mae Welch went up too. We are all concerned about him and are hoping he will soon be better. Lee and Ann Welch are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Christen-sen Christen-sen while their mother is in Salt Lake. Paul Ludwig arrived home last Thursday from his trip with the scouts. He said he had a wonderful wonder-ful time. Mrs. Janetta Boone and her son, Marvin, from Portland, Oregon, arrived ar-rived Saturday to visit her mother, Mrs. A P. Anderson and other members of the family. They ex pect to be here about five weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Skeem and daughter Evelyn, and Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley made a trip to Salt Lake Friday and returned home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop, Mrs. Ella Christensen and Mr. Don T. Bishop attended the Bishop family reunion in Salt Lake City Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Stevens were there too along with quite a few others from Millard County. Miss Norma Sledge is home after spending the past while in Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. James C Bishop and family from Cedar City visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop Sunday afternoon and re- Ivfniidyl MARY JOHNSOM Mr. and Mrs. Sam Vest and family fam-ily were in Provo last weekend, where Glenna's mother was hospitalized hospit-alized for some time. They aisc visited with Mr. and Mrs. Phil! Rollins and children, who are living at Provo for the summer while Mr. Rollins attends summer school. Miss Shirley Sheriff spent last weekend in Abraham. On Tuesday Mrs. Hazel Sheriff, Velda, Gwen, Sybil, Nona and grandchildren Rusty and Zeffie, were down for a two-day stay. Mrs. Barbara Thompson is home with their new little baby daughter Proud father, Bevan, is really beam ing these days. Announcement Is made by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jensen of the approaching marriage of their daughter, Colene, to Mr. Leon D-Hicken, D-Hicken, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah M. Hicken, of Logan. The couple will exchange wedding wed-ding vows in rites to be solemnized solemn-ized Friday, July 26, in the Manti L. D. S. Temple. Parents of the future bridegroom are former residents of Hinckley, where Mr. Hicken taught school at Millard Academy. The bride-elect Is a graduate of Delta High School and has completed com-pleted her freshman year at Utah State University in Logan. The future bridegroom is also attending attend-ing Utah State University where he is a senior majoring in mathematics. math-ematics. This fall he will be employed em-ployed as a part-time student instructor in-structor at the university. The young couple will be honored hon-ored at a reception Friday night, July 26, at Delta First Ward from eight-thirty until eleven o'clock. A cordial Invitation to attend Is extended to their friends. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson drove to Salt Lake Monday and took phond the operator, who found Jim their son, Donnie, who enlisted in the Navy. Mrs. Ila Overson and daughter, Ila Mae, spent sometime In Salt Lake trying to get relief for the asthma they both have. Mrs. Myr-na Myr-na Jimmeniz and little daughters ire here from Los Angeles, visiting at the Overson home. Mrs. Billy Nielson drove to Provo xr the day Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Talbot and Debbie drove down from Magna and visited with parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot and took their two sons Keith and Gordon, home on their return. Mrs. Talbot also visited her father in Fillmore. Mrs. Alpha Nielson and Kathlyn drove to Salt Lake Tuesday and visited daughters, Emogene and Colleen. They brought granddaugh ter Liz, home with them for a few days stay. Mrs. Eleanor Nielson was pleasantly plea-santly surprised when her mother, Mrs. Jane M. Ashby, Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby and family, came up and spent the evening on her birth 3ay, Tuesday. With them also, were friends from Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Fred Greathouse, Russell, ud Mrs. LaRae Maxwell, drove to Salt Lake Tuesday to attend the wedding of a relative. Bishop and Mrs. Ralph Skeem took a little trip last week, they were only gone a couple of days however. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lovell and family visited their daughter, Lynda, Lyn-da, in Salt Lake Sunday. They also attended the Frisby family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Rodman are happy to have their daughter, Renee and family, here from Colorado, Colo-rado, visiting them. Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson and Fine Arts Club met Monday night at the Delta Cafe for dinner, with Estelle Gardner and Barbara Ashby as hostesses. After dinner the group went to the Ashby home, for the program given by Harriet Eliason. Mrs. Elia-son Elia-son talked on creative writing and read one of her original short stories.
