Mr. and Mrs.. Dale Little of Delta, Colorado, spent the weekend week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shermnn Little and Mr, and Mrs. Loren Talbot. Miss Koleen Blake who is employed em-ployed at Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.. James S. Blake. The Ward show this week will be "Bengal Brigade", starring Rock Hudson and Arlene Dahl. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barfruss and son Larry and DeVon Barton of Midvale spent Sunday and Monday Mon-day visiting at the home of Mrs. Bertha Barton. Mr., and Mrs. T. M. Roberts spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Warnick and family. The Roberts have been attending the B.Y.U. at Provo and are on their way to Oregon. Mrs. Roberts is a sister of Lillian Warnick. Home Makers 4-H Fun Club The Home Makers 4-H Fun Club met at the home of Ema Lea Taylor Tay-lor Thursday. Present were: Ema Lea, leader, Kay Bishop, Dian Delhi Judie Draper, Susan Judd, Maline Cropper, Margaret Ekins, Ilene Taylor, Reta Bishop and Connie Sly. Ema Lea and Dian gave a demonstration dem-onstration on baking powder biscuits. bis-cuits. Punch and doughnuts were served by Ema Lea. Ellis Stevens and Robert Ireland Ire-land made a trip to Ely, Nevada on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dutson, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Dutson and Doyle, spent Saturday in St. George visiting visi-ting relatives and friends. Floyd and Koleen went through the St. George Temple for their endowments endow-ments and Loren went through ! with them. Mr. and Mrs. Lars Bishop of Payson are the proud parents of a baby girl. Her name will be Jenett. The baby was born in the Payson hospital but they will spend the summer with Mr. and Mrs. Heber Eishop. Lars is working here with L. R. Swensen. Howard and Marvis Hardy and Lyle and Anna Lou Stanworth are In Salt Lake City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Jacobson and children Kathie, Karl, Kay, Laura, Nancy and Reid of Provo, drove down and surprised their sister, Arvilla Workman on her birthday Friday. Ivan Workman of Hurricane, Utah spent Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Workman. Work-man. Mrs. Jerry Brinkerhoff and son Ree, are spending a few days with Jerry's mother, Oleta Larsen, while Ree is on a fishing trip to Boulder Mountain. Mrs. Beryl ' Hardy and children Christine and Ronnie spent a week in Salt Lake City with her sister. Grant and Ruth Robinson and children David. Dean and Dawnell spent a week at Grand Canyon, St. George and Zions National Park. A2c Gary Hardy with the U.S. Air Force In Holland writes, he has been on maneuvers "Mock War" In Holland. He is going to England to act as best man at his best buddies wedding. Gary writes, he enjoys the Chronicle very much and sends a "hello" to all of his friends. Russell Jacobson, son of Sterling Jacobson of Provo is spending a week with his aunt and uncle, the Karl Workmans. Garden Club Hinckley Garden Club held its July meeting at the Recreation Center, Monday, July 11th. Open discussion was held on garden problems and on armerillls and lilies. Beth Pratt gave a talk and demonstration on flower arrangement, ar-rangement, flower texture and color. Mrs. Donetta Works talked on arrangement of flowers and brought two lovely arrangements. Arvilla Workman was in charge and also gave a lovely arrangement. arrange-ment. Present were Enid Damron, Vere Bishop, Beryl Hardy, Lydia Ekins. Sacrament meeting was under the direction of the High Council. President Verdell R. Bishop represented repre-sented the Stake Pr esidency. Elden Eliason and Rulon Callister were the speakers for the evening. Mr. Eliason's subject was the parable of the "90 and 9 sheep and the one lost sheep". Mr. Callister spoke on " The Validity of the Book of Mormon". The. chior sang, "Abide With Me, Tis Eventide", and "Jesus, "Jes-us, Lover of My Soul". Janice Western of Delta sang, "Give Me Rest and Peace". The prayers were given by Don A. Bishop and David Stevens and the closing song by the choir, "I Know That My Redeemer Re-deemer Lives". Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cox and children child-ren Michael, Dennis and the twins Pat and Pam ofLos Angeles, California Cal-ifornia are spending a week with Mrs.. Cox's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oran Bliss. Mrs. Cox was the former for-mer Helen Bliss. The Cox family will later go to Provo to visit Bill's parents. Von and Phyllis Bennett and Dean and Carolyn Talbot have gone on a vacation trip. They plan on spending sometime in Los Angeles, An-geles, San Francisco, Old Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Ethel Crowther of Provo, an aunt of Phyllis is staying with the family while Phyllis and Von are away. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dillenbeck are caring for Dean and Carolyn's family while they are away. Miss Sherry Lee Bennett spent ha week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.. George Talbot. Her parents, par-ents, Donna and Rulon Dee Bennett Ben-nett came to take her home. Charley Theobald has gone to Las Vegas to work during the summer. He is living at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Erby at Las Vegas. Mrs. Lumena Galli and Alex Dourte of Garrison, spent Monday visiting Mrs. Galli's son, Duane and family at Hinckley and her sister, Mrs. Clinton Day of Fillmore Western Family Hold Supper The Western family held a steak supper Monday evening in honor of George and Bertha Barton, Bar-ton, at the home of Harold R. Morris. Present were: John Henry Western, Wes-tern, Leslie Western, Thomas and LaVern Allred of Deseret; Gene Morris, Harold and Belva Morris, Ruth and Cluff Talbot, Lila Rae and Larry Morris and George and Bertha Barton. Fawn and Luella Western, Deseret and Elwin and Grayce Pace, Delta. 4-H Livestock Club The 4-H Livestock Club held their meeting Thursday at the home of their leader Waldo Warnick. War-nick. Plans were made for the 4-H 4-H canyon trip Wednesday through Friday. Work was done on record books to bring them up to date. Present were: Waldo Warnick, Herbert Webb, Ray Bishop, Duane Ekins, Sidney Carter, Stephen Love Ronald Petersen, and Richard and Waldo Warnick.
