The bride is the former 11a Rae Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Taylor, of Delta. Mr. Stephenson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson of Cedar City. With them for the ceremony were the bride's mother, and parents par-ents of the bridegroom, his grandparents,, grand-parents,, Mr. and Mrs. J. Avery Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Taylor, Tay-lor, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Stphen-son, Stphen-son, Mrs. Richard May, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Black and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ashby. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Cam Brown were hosts at a wedding wed-ding supper at their home in Salt Lake City. The voune couple are now on a -wedding trip, through Yellowstone, and will return to make their home in Delta. "George knows this rood with his eyes blindfolded." Carolyn Callister, BYU coed at the Y summer school, was one of the attendants to Miss Liberty Belle in Provo's Fourth of July celebration Monday. Carolyn also won the title of "Miss Evening Gown" in the contests staged on the evening program. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rose and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Faulk left Delta early Tuesday to return to their home in Cleveland, Ohio, after a week's visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arve Rose. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Miller, former form-er Deltans, now residing in Salt Lake City, are announcing the mar riage of their daughter, Helen, to ' Mr. T. J. Vinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Vinson, of Boulder, Nevada. They were married Friday, June 17, at the Little White Chapel at Las Vegas, Nevada. They are making their home at Boulder City, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Malone, of Orange. Cal.. visited their son, Jack Malone, and family, over the weekend, and returned home on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kelly and sons visited in Delta Sunday and Monday, on their way home to Phoenix, Ariz., after a vacation in Utah, visiting in Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Stapley and children, Christine and Bill, from Salt Lake City, spent the weekend in Delta with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Taggart. Lyric B.ore Has Outdoor Party Lyric Lore members and husbands hus-bands were entertained at the annual an-nual summer party at the open air fireplace of Delta 2nd ward on Wednesday evening. She is employed at Utah State Capitol Public Service Commission, and was recently graduated from Hen-ager's Hen-ager's School of Business. Robinson of Gunnison, Gun-nison, Utah. Wedding plans will be made in arly fall. Miss P.ose has attended C S U at Cedar City for the past two years and was graduated from there in May. She was active in music and sang the leading role I in CSU opera for the last two years. She was president of the MIA in the Institution of Religion 'at CSU. Mr. Robinson attended CSU last year, and will attend the University Univer-sity of Utah next, year, and study for his degree in medicine. H. Jones of Sutherland. The young couple exchanged vows In Ely, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Brown Sanford spent the Fourth in Fillmore, for the celebration and in visiting friends and relatives. Mrs. Rose Thomas and daughter, Rosemary, from Salt Lake City, were Delta visitors over the weekend, week-end, guests of Jessie Lynn Cook. OASIS LaVeda Bishop Mr. and Mrs. Fon Hawley, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Young arid family fam-ily and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Carling and family spent the weekend on a trip to Beaver canyon and Puffer Lake. They returned home Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Anderson Ander-son and their families went to Beaver Canyon on a fishing trip over the weekend. Mrs. Telia Strang from Salt Lake City came last Friday evening and stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Fon Hawley over night. Saturday morning morn-ing she went on to St. George wnere she met her brother, Kollo Hawley and his wife, Margaret. They spent the weekend at Pine Valley. Telia returned to Oasis Monday night and Tuesday morning morn-ing she went on to Salt Lake City taking her daughter, Norma Gene, who has been visiting at the Fon Hawley home, and also with Miss Elaine Cole in Delta, the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Humphries and daughters, Holly, and Judy, stopped stop-ped to visit their sisters, LaVeda Bishop and Reva Skidmore and their families last Friday afternoon They were on their way from Salt Lake City to their home in Bur-bank, Bur-bank, California. They left Saturday Satur-day morning. Mr. and Mrs. Val Styler and Brent Styler went to Beaver Sunday Sun-day evening and spent the 4th visiting vis-iting with Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Mes-singer Mes-singer and family. Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Styler and children, Karen and Lynn from Bountiful arrived Sunday evening and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rus-sell Styler until Monday evening. Mrs. Helen Memmott had the misfortune to cut her foot quite badly the day of the 4th. She'll now hobble around on crutches lor a few days. You'd better act rigiit and keep your distance now, Ber-dell, Ber-dell, crutches make a pretty good weapon they tell me. We're sure glad to see how rapidly rap-idly that new house of Tom Skeeni is going up. I'll bet they'll call It the house of seven gables. Yuj. I will bet there're that many, too. Prime Taxton of Kenosh Lak Wa! Dr. and Mrs. Clark B. Cox, and children, David, Craig and Suzanne, arrived in Delta this week to visit Mrs. Cox's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arron Anderson. They have been at Fort Bragg, N. C, where Dr. Cox has been stationed for eighteen eigh-teen months. His family will spend the summer here while Dr. Cox returns to Fort Bragg until his release from the service in September. Mrs. Jean Gunning, of Davenport, Washington. Miss Carol Ann Morrison was in charge of the guest book, and in j the gift room were Mrs. Harold Done and Mrs. Ray Clark. Mrs, Clyde Underhill and Mrs. Richard Morrison presided at the serving table, and Dorothy Morrison, Mor-rison, Elaine and Ginny Done assisted as-sisted with gifts and serving. Guests called between eight and eleven o'clock with best wishes for the newly wed couple, who are now making their home In Salt Lake City. ; Mrs. Beth Stierer, Salt Lake City, president of Utah Garden Club Assn., and fellow officers, Dorothy McBlane, Salt Lake City, secretary, and Edna Christensen, Pleasant Grove, first vice president, spent Thursday in Hinckley with Mrs. Beth Anderson, second vice president, presi-dent, and made plans for the national nat-ional convention scheduled in 105G at Salt Lake City, with the Utah organization as host.
