Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crafts from Salt Lake .City spent the holidays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torrcns. The MIA put on a Christmas program "Here we come a Caroling", Carol-ing", on Tuesday evening. A large crowd was In attendance to enjoy en-joy the fine program. On Christmas Eve a program was put on at the Church house wit the Primary children taking) part. After the program Santa Clans paid a visit and talked to all the children present and gave each one cand, nuts and oranges. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson spent Friday In Sail Lake and Provo. Barton Shipley was home for Christinas. His stay was a short one as he hai-only a weekend pass. He is stationed In San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson drove to Salt Lake and brought their daughter home for Christmas. Saturday evening she received injuries in-juries In an automobile accident in Delta. She was with a group of school friends and was the only one Injured, Her husband is here with her at the Irving Nielson home. ' Miss Ellen Overson is home from San Francisco for the holidays. For Christmas day with her at her parent's home were Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jacobs and four children, from Stockton, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Tolbert and family of Leamington, Leam-ington, Including the little new haby born last Tuesday at Nephi. Mrs. Tolbert came home from the hospital Friday evening to be with her family for Christmas. Miss Phyllis Turner made a brief visit home coming from Los Angeles An-geles to see her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Turner. Last Tuesday Miss JoAnn Lake and Mr. George Kirk were married mar-ried in Nephi. The brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Lake were with their daughter for the marriage. mar-riage. Mr. and 1 Mrs. Clarence Hogan have their daughter, Marlene and husband Clifford Stephenson and their two sons from Pasadena, Calif. Wedding Vows In Matiti Temple Miss Ann Bowles became the bride of Stanley Eugene Stewart Stew-art Thursday, Dec. 23, in rites solemnized in the Manti Temple, with A. Bent Peterson officiating. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowles, of Nephi, who were hosts at the wedding dinner after the ceremony. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stewart, of Delta. He is presently serving with the U. S. Air Force, "at Lowry AFB, Denver, Colo. The young couple will be honored hon-ored at a reception In Nephi Friday Fri-day night, Dec. 30. For the reception the bride will be gowned in lace underscored with satin, with a fitted bodice and tapered sleeves, and full skirt sweeping to a cathedral train. A crown encrusted with pearls holds the bridal veil of illusion, fingertip-length. She will carry a bouquet of pink roses and white carnations. Attending the bride will be Miss Marjorie Bowles, maid of honor, a sister; Mrs. Rae Coom'bs, Miss Kae Blackett, Miss Nancy Orme, and Miss Helen Anderson. They will be gowned in pastel frocks and carry white and pink boucpuets, Tirry Patsy Bowles will be flower girl. She took part in the BYU Christmas hour which was telecast and was a part of a tumbling act presented at the annual Geneva Steei Day at Provo. Golda Roper and fiance, John Crafts, were Christmas visitors at her parents home. Mr. and Mrs. Welby Finlinson left Sunday for a trip in the east which will take them to Detroit and other points.
