Show Lucy Whicker Black Dies of Heart Attack Funeral services will be held in inthe inthe the Deseret ward chapel Friday at 3 p. p m. m for Lucy Whicker Black 75 who died Tuesday morning at her home of oC heart aUment ailment Mrs Black was apparently enjoying g goo good o o d health and died very suddenly She was born in Sidney Australia in 1867 1861 Her parents Isaac Whicker and Eliza Loveridge joined the church and the family moved to Utah when she was eight years of age They lived in Kaysville and then moved to Deseret where Mrs Irs Black had resided for the past 65 years She married William Wllliam Reuben Reuben Reuben Reu Reu- ben Black in the Manti temple In 1890 Mrs Black died seven years ago Mrs Black had been an active active ac ac- ac tive church worker until the past few years She has served in the Deseret Primary as Primary president president dent M. M I. I A A. A counselor Relief Society Society Society So So- counselor and as Relief Society Society Society So So- SoI I teacher for many years She is survived by Mrs Laura Peterson Peterson Peterson Pe Pe- Pe- Pe terson of Culver City Cal Mrs Ella Ella El El- la Whitehead of Grace Nora Long Beach CaL step children that she raised and her own children Ernest Black of oC Delta Lavon and Dee Black of Deseret Deseret Deseret Des Des- eret and a daughter Mrs Bertella Wilde of Eureka 29 grandchildren and 12 Also a brother Robert Whicker of Delta and five half brothers and sisters Henry and John Whicker Mrs Zina Hatten flatten Mrs Frances Hatten Hatten Hatten Hat- Hat ten and Mrs Hattie Partridge all of Funeral services service's will be un under ler the direction of oC Bishop Ralph Crafts of oC Deseret and interment in the Deseret Deseret Des Des- eret cemetery I |
