Show Final Rites For Former Resident Held at Hinckley Fnueral services for Mrs. Jane Harmon Pratt, 75, former resident of Hinckley for many years, were conducted Wednesday in Hinckley ward chapel by Bishop Walter L. Ekins. Mrs. Pratt died the preceding preced-ing Saturday in Salt Lake City at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Thomas. She was married Oct. 8, 1903 to Thomas H. Pratt, and their home was made in Hinckley where Mr. Pratt was in business for years. After his death in 1943 Mrs. Pratt had lived in Salt Lake City. An active LDS member, she had served as Relief Society president in Hinckley for 17 years, and was a member of the stake board. She had held office in YWMIA, and Primary. Of late years she had been doing much genealogical work. Her children, Ansell H. and Paul H. Pratt, and Mrs. Thomas from Salt Lake City, Claude H. Pratt, Ogden, Jesse H. Pratt and Mrs. Victor Pratt from Compton, Cal., were all here for the services. The opening prayer was given by Charles R. Woodbury. Music was ai solo "Wonderful Mother of Mine," by Ladd R. Cropper, and "In the Garden," by Mrs. Erma Cropper. Speakers were Harold R. Morris, Mrs. Vera Hilton and Arthur H. Reeve, with a tribute to Mrs. Pratt Burial was in the Deseret cemetery, ceme-tery, where the grave was dedicated dedicat-ed by Ray S. Bishop. |
