Blows BIRDIE LOU HILTON DIXIE SNATCHES GAME FROM HINCKLEY TO END SEASON Divie ran up a score of 39-0 against the dazzled Mustangs in the final tilt of the season Wednes day, Oct. 25 at Dixie. Early in the first quarter Neldon Williams put the ball over for the first touchdown and a line plunge added the extra point. Nielson of Dixie put his team another TD ahead in the second quarter and Potter dropkicked for the extra point. A 50-yard run by Dewey on a pass from Wasden racked up another touchdown for the Dixie team in the second quarter. Nielson took the ball over on a 16 yard run for the counter in the third period. Two completed passes gained six points and the extra for Dixie in the last o'f1 the game. With five seconds to go in the final period and the ball on the one yard line, a Hinckley fumble lost a chance at scoring for the Mustangs. Theobald, HHS sophomore sopho-more was rated as an excellent player throughout the game. STUDENTS SEE FIRE PREVENTION FILM W. E. Tangren, assistant State Forester For-ester and fire warden presented a very fine film and lecture to the studentbody on soil conservat-ation conservat-ation and fire prevention, Tuesday morning. VICTORY SOCIAL . . . Wednesday morning the student body celebrated the victory over Parowan with a social in the gym. Everyone participated in dancing and games. After the party the students gave the team a send of 1 on their way to Dixie. |
