Show Single Ticket In Field For Coming Town Election PROGRESSIVE TICKET For President of Board 0. F. HUBBELL For Trustees s HAROLD (VIC) CARLSON WILLIAM B. GARDNER GEORGE LITCHFIELD D. E. STAPLEY With O. F. Hubbell chosen for the sixth consecutive time to head the group as nominee for president presi-dent of the board of trustees, a full ticket, to be known as the Progressive party ticket, was filed with Town Clerk V. M. Burns late Saturday afternoon, last legal day for filing the only ticket to be thus filed and, accordingly, accord-ingly, the only ticket which will appear on the printed ballot on Tuesday, November 5, though bank spaces will be provided for the writing in of other names at the time of voting. Chosen to make the run with Mr. Hubbell were Harold (Vic) Carlson, William B. Gardner, George Litchfield and D. E. Stap-ley. Stap-ley. Candidates Hubbell, Carlson and Litchfield are members of the present board of trustees but Mr. Gardner and Mr. Stapley, if elected, elect-ed, will be members of the board for the first time. Nomination of the ticket was by petition, signed by 50 or more qualified voters, but the circular tion of the petition followed an informal meeting held in mid-afternoon Saturday in the town clerk's office, at which Harold Cline acted as chairman and J- C. Smith as secretary. |
