Show NOTES OF THE DAY A smallpox vaccine which causes no soreness and leaves no scar has been developed. A delicate meter which will measure meas-ure the electric voltage of a nervous nerv-ous shock has been developed by University of Chicago scientists. Pithecanthropus erectus, long believed be-lieved the oldest type of man, is declared by its discoverer, Dr. Dubois, Du-bois, of Holland, to be only a superior su-perior type of ape. Long-haired dogs are less apt to have rabies than short-haired ones, according to the American Medical Association Journal, because long hair often removes saliva from the teeth of infected attacking dogs. A vaccine to be taken in capsule cap-sule form with a glass of water and said to greatly reduce the number of bad colds contracted by susceptible suscepti-ble persons has been reported by Dr. G. C. Rockwell, University of Cincinnati, according to Pathfinder Magazine. |
