Show MINERSVILLE Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Owen Davis that their son Ray is missing in action since October 26. Ray has- been in the armed services about nine months, part of this time in Italy, where he is reported missing as a member of an infantry unit. Lee Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Marshall, Mar-shall, has been with the Davis boy until just recently. Ray was born in iMinersville February 20, 1925. Awaiting further word are five brothers: S 2c Neal Davis and Pfc. Sheral Davis, California; Dick, Van and Basil, Minersville, and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Mc-Affee, Mc-Affee, Payson, and Mrs. Lela Evans, -Minersville. Morris Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Gray, is convalescing from a major operation performed in Richfield. Mrs. Frank Carter and Mrs. Editji Bradfield have gone to Ft. Riley, Kansas, to be present at the wedding of their son and grandson, Erlan (Bud) Carter. Bud is in the cavalry. He is marrying a Kansas girl. Tuesday evening the stake officers of-ficers of the M. LA. visited the Minersville ward. They left plans for the Diamond Jubilee celebration celebra-tion of the Y.W.M. LA., to be held November 28. The Sunday evening program of the Minersville ward was given by the Parley Fisher family from Milford. Those taking part were Mr. and Mrs. Vance Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Fisher and Mrs. Parley Fisher, who accompanied the musical numbers and also gave a musical reading. The program was greatly enjoyed by all present. Wjord has been received by relative rela-tive of Floyd Rollins that he has been wounded in action. |
