Show Popular Young Couple j Take Marriage Vows In the presence of members of the families and a few close friends, Miss Almeda Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Edwards, was married Thursday, June 12, at 6:00 p.m. to Don C. : Holbrook, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. iR. Holbrook of Salt Lake City. The marriage was performed by Bishop Laurence Peterson of the : Milford L. D. S. ward at the home ; of the bride's parents, which was . decorated in pink and white roses and sweetpeas. The ceremony was performed by candlelight. The bride wore a beautiful dress of white chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and white gardenias. Her maid of honor, Miss Maxine Holbrook, sister of the bridegroom, wore blue, while the two bridesmaids, Miss Charlotte Farmer of Caliente and Miss Lorraine Morford of Milford, were dressed in rose . pink. James McMahone of Salt Lake City was best man to Mr. Holbrook. The wedding was followed at 8:00 p.m. by a call reception with ' many friends of both families in ' attendance, to wish the young ! couple much happiness, and to I partake of refreshments, served by friends of the bride. Many beautiful gifts were displayed by two girl friends in the gift room. The young couple left the same evening on No. 14 for a few days in Salt Lake City, and will be at home to friends at the Forgie apartments after Saturday, June 21. |
